Growing Out My Pixie Cut- The Conclusion

The time to end the "growing out my pixie cut" series has come. After 11 months I think it's time to wrap things up since I finally reached my desired hair length. I know I'm going to sound extremely cliché right now but time flew by during the past 11 months. I can still recall getting an asymmetrical back in January 2014 and then by my birthday I already had a bob. CRAZY! This last hair update was filmed in two parts: before my haircut in December and then almost a year after I decided to grow out my hair. You will get to see how my hair looked like at the beginning of December and how it looks like now. I will also let you know about the three important things that I learned throughout this whole hair journey.

Growing Out My Pixie Cut- Month 8

We have now arrived to month #8 of the growing out my pixie journey and my hair is still wild. By now I've surpassed my ideal hair length which means that I desperately need to cut it. It's been funny to see everyone around me notice how long my hair has grown. My co-workers will sometimes just tell me out of the blue how long my hair has gotten since I started working with them. I never knew that my hair grows this quickly because I always assumed that I wasn't patient enough to grow out my hair. I cannot emphasize how many times I failed to grow out my bangs, so for me to grow out everything is sort of a big deal to me. In this latest update I'm going to show you how my hair currently looks and also share two new hair products that have been working really well with my hair.

Growing Out My Pixie Cut- Month 7

Say hello to month #7 in this "growing out my pixie cut" journey! My hair is officially wild and very long. I think it might have even surpassed my ideal hair length which is saying a lot. Everything looks much longer but it's in desperate need of a haircut. Hopefully next month you'll see me with a haircut and style, because at the moment I'm rocking about 3 different layers and some dry ends. I still can't believe that I've gone over 9 months without getting a haircut, I usually cut my hair once every 2-3 months. Check out what's been happening with my hair in my latest update.

Growing Out My Pixie Cut- Month 6

We are now 6 months into this "growing out my pixie cut" journey! I can't believe how fast time has gone by and how much my hair has grown. I've never been the most patient person when it comes to growing out hair, in fact I failed countless of times to grow out my bangs over the past few years. I've always gotten tired out the growing out process and cut them back into blunt Zooey Deschanel inspired bangs, but look at me know! My hair has gone from a short pixie cut to a curly bob, and my bangs can cover my eyes when they're curly! Check out what's been happening with my hair in my latest update.

Growing Out My Pixie Cut- Month 5

First let me start off with the most obvious thing- yes, the blog got a complete makeover. I'm no HTML wizard so I finally gave in and bought a blogger template yesterday. I spent the majority of the day tweaking the blog and also coming up with new banners for everything from Twitter to YouTube. I'm still going to be working on the blog, but so far I'm in love with the way it looks. As for my hair, it's been five months since I decided to grow my pixie cut out. My hair has been the curliest it's ever been in my life so I've started to incorporate some new hair products into my hair routine. Growing Out My Pixie Cut- Month 4

I refuse to believe that is has been four months since I decided to grow out my hair. It's crazy how fast time has gone by since I started documenting my hair growth. And talking about hair growth there was a lot of that going on this past month! I now get to start wearing hair clips and I can even tie the back section of my hair into a little ponytail. This whole growing out process has been pretty fun to be honest, I know a lot of girls have hated the process but I've become really fascinated with hair growth.

It's now been 3 months since I decided to grow out my pixie so it's time for another update! I'll be showing you how the growing process has been going, talk about some hair changes, and tell you about some of my plans. I will also be showing you one of my favorite hairstyles to do when I'm in a hurry or just want the bang portion out of my face. The hairstyle shouldn't take you more than 2 minutes and it's super simple, trust me. The hairstyle will also work for those of you with longer hair as well, I know this because I used to wear my hair in that same way a few years ago. Growing Out My Pixie Cut- Month 2

So it's officially one year since I got a pixie and 2 months since I decided I wanted to grow out my pixie. Today I'll be talking a little about how the growing out process has been, what I've been doing with my hair, and also show you the progress. Also can you see how curly it gets now? HELLO TEXTURE! I'm still learning how to work with it since sometimes it makes me feel like a poodle. (Also please excuse the pictures, I didn't notice that my tripod casted a shadow until I was uploading them at night. Oops!)

Pixie Cut Update

Next month will be my one year anniversary with my pixie. I can still remember the day when I went to my hairstylist to get my hair chopped off. Throughout the year I didn't really miss my longer hair till last month and that's when I decided to change things up yet again. People automatically become curious when a woman decides to cut her hair short because in society hair is very important. I know in the Mexican culture, hair is considered extremely important and one of the things that defines femininity. When you have a pixie you naturally get asked a lot of questions from what products to use, to how to style it. I am no hair professional, and it's taken a while for me to be able to give you hair tips since it's really not my forte. For that reason I decided to ask someone who knows a thing or two about hair.
