Exactly one week ago I was at the second annual We All Grow Summit held in Long Beach, California. The conference was put together by the lovely and passionate women behind Latina Bloggers Connect, a network for Latina content creators. I've been a proud member of the Latina Bloggers Connect community since I started my beauty blog in 2013, in fact they were the first network that believed in my work and allowed me to publish my very first sponsored post with Neutrogena. I still remember how excited I was when I received the email that I got accepted into the Neutrogena campaign and I left the We All Grow Summit with the same excitement that I experienced 3 years ago. Last weekend was filled with so much knowledge and motivation to keep fighting to make my dreams become reality.

Today's blog post will not be a review about the latest mascara launch or an another outfit of the day featuring pieces from my capsule wardrobe, today I'm going to talk about my Latino heritage. I am incredibly proud of my Latin heritage and I make sure to show it off whenever I can. To me, I'm not just a beauty blogger -- I am a Mexican-American and a bilingual content creator. I am what I would like to refer as the modern Latina. The modern Latina is a woman who is not afraid to march to the beat of her own drum and venture to the unknown, and I'm certainly not afraid of either of those things. With Hispanic Heritage month here, I want to share how I honor my heritage and celebrate our beautiful Latin culture through this beauty blog that you've all come accustomed to. There's a lot more to beauty bloggers than meets the eye, that's all I will say.

As you all may know by now, it doesn't get too cold here in San Diego but that doesn't mean that my hands don't get dry. Something that people tend to forget is that California is a desert and our climate tends to be pretty dry, especially if you don't live near the coast. In recent weeks the air has become extremely dry which is confusing my oily skin a lot and also making my hands uncomfortably dry. This is the third and final post in the #MujerDove collaboration with Dove. In this post I'll be sharing some of my personal tips of how you can obtain beautiful and luminous skin, even in the colder months. We're reaching that time of the year that our skin becomes dry and even a little dull due to the weather changes. Even if the weather wants to dictate the condition of our skin, it doesn't mean that it needs to have it's way. It is possible to have healthy and luminous skin year round and I'll be the one showing you how.

I feel like deodorant and antiperspirant are rarely talked about in beauty blogs and I honestly don't know why. As you may have seen on Twitter or on my previous outfit of the day post, I spent my spring break with my friends up in Orange County and Long Beach. In order to be able to write a good review about each product I had to test them out for a couple days so I basically took all the Neutrogena products with me on spring break. After testing them out even on harsh conditions like my trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, I think I can now give you my honest opinion about each and every product.
