This year will be the year that I'll start being a little more daring with my makeup. I don't longer want to be intimidated by colorful eyeshadows, metallic finishes, and things that are considered a bit "out there." I want to play with bright shades, dark colors, and try different makeup techniques. One of those techniques that I wanted to try out is the halo eye. This isn't anything new or particularly groundbreaking, but it is much different to what I usually do with eyeshadow. The beauty about the halo eye is that you can use any eyeshadow combination that you want! I've tried a more subdued version with browns and a metallic gold eyeshadow and the look still came out beautiful. Hopefully this colorful look will inspire some of you to give the halo eye a try.

Ride or Die Tag + Makeup Look
One of the most popular tags going around YouTube at the moment is the Ride or Die Tag which was created by the uber popular Jaclyn Hill. I initially wasn't planning on recording this tag until I saw other people talking and actually using all their all-time favorite products in a tutorial. I found that version of the tag far more entertaining and helpful, so I decided to give it a go. This tag is a great way to find out what people's holy grail products are and how they look like when applied to the face. In my video you'll definitely see a lot of familiar products and some that I don't tend to show much on video but use a lot in my regular life.

Full Face Highlight Challenge
Who hasn't dreamed of wearing nothing but highlighter? I know I have! A few weeks ago 18 year-old aspiring MUA Mariya recorded a full face makeup tutorial using nothing but highlighters. And as you can probably imagine, the video quickly went viral thanks to Buzzfeed and social media. Now this isn't exactly an everyday look, but it's so much fun to play around with makeup. Participating in this challenge reminded me of why I fell in love with makeup in the first place. It's very easy to play it safe, but experimenting with new trends or techniques can be a ton of fun. I definitely have Mariya to thank for encouraging the makeup community to have fun and embrace their inner disco ball.

Review | Maybelline Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds
You can now get wild lip colors at the drugstore! Maybelline has a new lipstick collection that features unusual shades such as blue, purple, white, brown, and black lipsticks. Usually drugstore companies play it very safe when it comes to their makeup options and collections, so it's amazing to see a brand like Maybelline doing something new and exciting. Maybelline Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds have an opaque clay based formula that's supposed to have one-stroke intensity. I honestly got so excited when I saw The Loaded Bolds at my store so I picked up two unusual shades to test out and review for you.
Empty Products #7
It has been forever since my last Empty Products post! And if I'm honest it has been 9 months to be exact, so you can only imagine how many products I managed to accumulate. Someone should have called TLC on me because I was just hoarding empty products underneath my bed for the purpose of recording a video. I swear saving your trash is only logical in the YouTube/blogging world, otherwise you'd be a complete weirdo. But if you're a fan of quick reviews, then I'm sure you're going to enjoy this latest empty products post. There's a lot of skincare, body care, sheet masks, and mascaras in this post.

Subtle Blue Eyeliner
I think by now I should just rebrand myself as the "minimal makeup YouTuber" because all the looks I wear are very easy and don't require many products. A few weeks ago when I uploaded my Messy Hair Tutorial a lot of you requested I film this makeup look, and so I did. Bright cobalt blue eyeliner is one of the biggest makeup trends for spring/summer 2016, but it can be an intimidating color if you're not used to bright makeup. This is a subtle version of the trend that will work incredible with brown eyes, but honestly any person can rock this look. All you need is an eyeshadow stick and a blue eyeliner to achieve this easy eye look.

Natural Strobing
I don't what has gotten into me lately but this oily skin gal has been embracing dewy skin. It all started when I got the stunning Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette in Precious Metals in my life. The palette includes three cream highlight shades and one powder highlight, all the shades give your skin a natural and luminous glow. If you've been wanting to try out the strobing technique but found a lot of the tutorials too dramatic for everyday life, then maybe you'll enjoy this subtle take on the trend.

Get Ready with Me: Spring Edition
It's the first day of spring and I'm bringing back the Get Ready with Me videos! For this Get Ready with Me I'll be showing you this very easy spring makeup and also styling some frizzy 3rd day hair. While recording and editing this I started thinking of my past Get Ready with Me videos and boy have I improved my videos since then. The first one I ever made was recorded and edited on my iPad mini and it featured one very awkward voiceover. Kind of crazy, huh?

Radiant Makeup Tutorial
As much as I go on and on about keeping things matte, sometimes even someone like myself can appreciate a nice and healthy glow. In today's tutorial I'm going to show you how easy it is to achieve a radiant makeup look without looking like a greasy mess. I actually wore this makeup look in my L'Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation review and I got so many requests to recreate this particular look. As simple as this look may be, I didn't have anything like this in my channel which surprised me quite a bit considering my makeup style. Plus this would make for such a pretty Valentine's Day look since that's right around the corner!

Top 15 of 2015
Last year was an amazing year for both myself and the beauty world! 2015 was the year of highlight on fleek, contouring the crap out of your face, matte lipsticks, and messy hair. I tried out and purchased many products throughout 2015, but in today's post you're going to hear about the best of the best (well, according to me). These are the products that I would reach for the most, and some which I repurchased several times. All of these products have been mentioned in previous monthly favorites, but they're so good that they deserve yet another shoutout.

Two Maybelline Failures
January was the month that we received a plethora of new launches at the drugstore. To be completely honest, even I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of new products that hit the shelves. Among the new releases, I was particularly excited to see what Maybelline would launch since it's one of my all-time favorite drugstore brands. Two items that really caught my eye were Vivid Matte Liquid and the Master Prime Long-Lasting Eyeshadow Base in Prime + Matte. As excited as I was to try these products out, the excitement quickly turned into disappointment once I saw how both of these wore throughout the day.
100% Drugstore Holiday Makeup
Here's my second holiday look of the season. For today's look I created a green smokey eye for the holidays using nothing but drugstore makeup. Everything from the brow product to the actual brushes used are incredible affordable, and many can be found at your local drugstore. In my regular tutorials I tend to use a combination of drugstore and high-end makeup, so it felt so nice creating something entirely out of drugstore makeup. This more dramatic makeup is perfect for more glam Christmas dinners, or you can wear it with to your family's dinner if you happen to like smokey eyes. I really loved how this look turned out and I really hope that you do as well.

Holiday Makeup
I'm finally getting around to uploading my very first holiday look and this one features a lot of my high-end favorites, so you'll finally get to see a few of them used on a video. I was requested to do a tutorial based on the look I'm wearing in my profile picture on social media, and that's exactly what you'll see today. I made sure to use all the same products that I used when I first took pictures with this look. This makeup up is not your typical holiday makeup, I actually consider it a modern take on it. We're going to be using a lot of cool toned eyeshadows and a very deep red lip color.

Top 5 Lipsticks for Winter + Dupes
With winter approaching I thought this would be the perfect time to take out the shades that have been getting lots of love lately and share them with you guys! This was a video that was requested over on my Spanish channel and being the lipstick lover that I am, I just couldn't say no. Some of my picks are high-end, but don't you worry because I got you covered! I dug through my whole lipstick collection and managed to find some dupes or some extremely similar shades. There's a bit for any type of girl, so I hope you enjoy today's video.

Simple Everyday Makeup
Last week when I uploaded the Ipsy bag video, I got so many comments about how nice my makeup looked. Some of you even requested to see a tutorial on this look and also the look I wore in my recent Instagram selfie, so I decided to combine the two look for this tutorial. I've been wearing a variation of this makeup look this whole month and I think it would be a great look for school, work, or a casual day out. This video will be another chatty makeup tutorial, meaning that you'll get to hear more about the products and brushes used to created this look. It's a beauty tutorial and mini reviews rolled up into one chatty video!

Review | Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
I promise that this will be the last post dedicated to the new Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. After seeing the last week's posts, you might have thought to yourself "is this mascara worth purchasing?" Well today I'm going to let you know whether it's worth a shot, or if you should just save your money and go with something else. I am a huge fan of big, black, and voluminous lashes without having to apply a strip of false lashes. Any mascara that claims to give you the false lash effect will eventually end up in my makeup collection because I'm still on the search for that perfect mascara. And as a Maybelline mascara fan I personally wanted to see how the Push Up Drama Mascara would measure up to some of my other favorite mascaras like the regular Falsies Mascara and the Falsies Big Eyes Mascara. Is this the new "it" mascara, or should you stick with your old favorites?
Red Smokey Eye
You may had seen this look already on Monday's post, but I was so proud of this that I actually recorded the whole process. Yes, the red smokey eye is in video! Personally I find video tutorials much easier to follow and this look was something that my YouTube channel was currently lacking. I know that this is a look that might intimidate many of you, but red is surprisingly wearable both on the lips and eyes. If you have blue or green eyes, red eyeshadows will help enhance them even more and dare I say "make them pop." So if you missed out on Monday's post, or just want a more detailed look at the tutorial then continue on to the video!
Dramatic Smokey Eye For Fall

#FalsiesPushUpDrama #CollectiveBias
Now this isn't your everyday type of look or your traditional smokey eye, this look is for the daring girls. I decided to push the boundaries and go completely out of my neutral comfort zone to unleash my inner rock star. The inspiration for this smudgy red and pink smokey eye came from the new Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara which I recently picked up from Walmart. You all know by now that I live for volumizing mascaras, and this mascara definitely gives me all the drama that I'm craving for. I'm not going to lie, my own idea of doing a red and pink smokey eye scared me at first but I'm so glad that I challenged myself because I ended up being obsessed with this look. I am guilty definitely guilty for taking one too many selfies that day, but can you blame me?Everyday Makeup Tutorial
I was getting requested to do a natural everyday look recently, so I decided to film another chatty tutorial walking you through what I normally do! On most days I just want to even out my skin, add a sheer wash of color on the lids, and then finish the look up with a bright lip. I didn't use a ton of product on my skin, but I did want to do a dark bold lip on this occasion. The lip color can be easily substituted for a nude lip or sheer gloss based on your preference. I also have to mention that this tutorial is a very quick one, if I wasn't filming this video I would be able to do everything in about 10 minutes which isn't too shabby.
