Ride or Die Tag + Makeup Look

Ride or Die Tag + Makeup Look
One of the most popular tags going around YouTube at the moment is the Ride or Die Tag which was created by the uber popular Jaclyn Hill. I initially wasn't planning on recording this tag until I saw other people talking and actually using all their all-time favorite products in a tutorial. I found that version of the tag far more entertaining and helpful, so I decided to give it a go. This tag is a great way to find out what people's holy grail products are and how they look like when applied to the face. In my video you'll definitely see a lot of familiar products and some that I don't tend to show much on video but use a lot in my regular life.

What's In My Bag? | Everlane The Twill Zip Tote

What's In My Bag? | Everlane The Twill Zip Tote
Today I decided to film one of the YouTube beauty guru classics, a simple "What's In My Bag?" video. It's been over a year and a half since the last time I filmed one, so it was time for me to show you what I'm now carrying inside my bag. I also have a new everyday bag which is practical, simple, and very minimal. I personally don't like carrying something that has the brand's name or emblem splattered throughout the whole bag, it's just not my cup of tea. My new everyday bag is the Everlane The Twill Zip Tote, which is roomy enough for all my belongings and built very well. This is by far the most comfortable handbag/tote bag that I own, and I love knowing that it was made ethically.

Full Face Highlight Challenge

Full Face Highlight Challenge
Who hasn't dreamed of wearing nothing but highlighter? I know I have! A few weeks ago 18 year-old aspiring MUA Mariya recorded a full face makeup tutorial using nothing but highlighters. And as you can probably imagine, the video quickly went viral thanks to Buzzfeed and social media. Now this isn't exactly an everyday look, but it's so much fun to play around with makeup. Participating in this challenge reminded me of why I fell in love with makeup in the first place. It's very easy to play it safe, but experimenting with new trends or techniques can be a ton of fun. I definitely have Mariya to thank for encouraging the makeup community to have fun and embrace their inner disco ball.

October 2015 Ipsy Bag Opening

October 2015 Ipsy Bag Opening
The last two Ipsy bags were not the most exciting bags, in fact they made me doubt the service a little. For two months straight I got two items from the same category which kind of defeats the purpose of a subscription bag in my opinion. I like getting a variety of products and brands in subscription services, that way I can get exposed to new things. This month's bag definitely renewed my excitement for Ipsy's monthly service. I got a great selection of products to try out, and as a bonus all the products that I received this month happen to be cruelty-free. If you're curious to hear more about this month's awesome bag, then just keep reading!

Top 10 Subscription Box Products

Top 10 Subscription Box Products
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of subscription boxes. I've recorded so many unboxing videos that I now have a playlist dedicated to subscription boxes. Yeah, my obsession is pretty bad but there's so much to love about these services! You get to try out new products, discover new brands, and build up your makeup collection for a fraction of the price. Not every product is a win in my book, but there has certainly been a lot of great products that I've received in subscription boxes. In this video I'll be running through the best products I've received so far from Ipsy, Boxycharm, Walmart Beauty, and Julep Maven boxes.

Mixed Up Makeup Challenge

Mixed Up Makeup Challenge
I'm sure you were scared by this image, I know I was. Let me introduce you to this weird challenge video that will guarantee a hot mess look everytime. The Mixed Up Makeup Challenge is quite a popular video in the Spanish speaking community, in fact I was tagged by three people- that's how popular it is. The rules are simple, you will have one cup with little strips of paper with the makeup products that you use on your face. The other cup will hold strips of paper with the parts of your face written on them. All you have to do is get a strip of paper from each cup and then apply said product on whatever part of your face that the other strip says. Sometimes you may get lucky, but most times you'll end up getting something extremely weird like the mascara as a lip liner that I had to unfortunately apply. If you want to see me look like a hot mess, then this video is for you!

June 2015 Favorites

June Favorites
Let's get this out of the way, shall we? Where the hell has 2015 gone? I'm having a really hard time figuring out how we're now in July, but regardless of that it's time for another favorites video. I feel like I've been making these videos for such a long time now but they're still so enjoyable for me to record. I know I've talked about a couple of the products that I'm going to mention in this video before, but that just goes to show that they're truly some of my all-time favorite products. And just like always there's always some new discoveries that I want to share, and a product that really disappointed me. Seriously, don't buy the fail product that I'm going to mention in this video.

April 2015 Ipsy Bag Opening

April Ipsy Bag Opening
I skipped last month's Ipsy bag opening but I'm back with the April bag! This was one of my favorite bags that I've received from the subscription service. Not only was the physical bag very nice, but the products inside were also incredibly nice. I feel like subscription services have really stepped up their game in the last few months, and I have zero complaints about that.

Top 5 Blushes for Fall

Top 5 Blushes for Fall
It may not feel like fall whatsoever but I'm mentally preparing myself to rock some fall trends. Trying out the fall fashion trends is completely out of the picture due to the heat, but I will be pulling out my dark lipstick and plum eyeshadows very soon. Today I want to share with you my favorite blushes for the fall season. You'll definitely notice a trend when you see the swatches but I just really love rose blushes for the fall! Rose is a very easy color to wear and it's pairs well with dark makeup. If you're interested in hearing about my blush picks then watch the video embedded to the first top 5 post of the fall.

Tutorial | Simple & Quick Makeup

Simple & Quick Makeup
As much as I love makeup sometimes I just don't have the time to just sit there and blend out 4 different eyeshadows. I am a girl who loves sleeping so I'll gladly trade some makeup time for more sleep. This is a makeup tutorial for those of you who don't have a lot of time in the morning to create an intricate look for school, work, or a lunch with your friends. Most of the products I used are from the drugstore so it will be super easy to recreate. Also, I did things a little different in this tutorial but you'll have to watch it to find out.

August 2014 Favorites

August 2014 Favorites
I am back with another monthly favorites and the third video of this week! What can I say? I had a lot of catching up to do and I still do with over 100 videos in my YouTube "watch later" playlist and over a thousand blog posts in my Bloglovin' feed. I'll eventually get through everything but today I'm just going to be focusing on a few products that I kept using over and over this past month. I have some amazing Tarte products that I'm going to be raving about in this video and also a very inexpensive concealer that might be "holy grail" status.

The Big Summer Beauty Haul

The Big Summer Beauty Haul
Guess who's been shopping? This girl right here! My biggest problem with having a job is knowing that I have money to go shopping with. It happens every time I have a job but I felt like getting one last beauty haul up before I go on my makeup ban. Yes, that's going to happen real soon. In this haul you'll get a good mix of drugstore and high end products, and even some very interesting stuff from Mexico.

Best Blushes for Oily Skin

Best Blushes for Oily Skin
When you have oily skin blushes either tend to fade rather quickly or make you look greasier. Blushes with too much shimmer will enhance the shininess on your cheeks which is why I don't wear shimmery blushes too often. Other times I will apply a blush and have it completely disappear a few hours later. Finding a long-lasting blush can be hard but I have found four options that definitely have my stamp of approval.

How to Apply Blush, Bronzer, and Highlight

How to Apply Blush, Bronzer, and Highlight
In today's #BeautyBasics video I'm going to be showing you how I apply blush, bronzer, and highlight. It seems like an easy concept for those who already know makeup but I remember not knowing how to use bronzer or highlight a few years ago. What brushes do you need to use? Are contouring and bronzer the same thing? How do you highlight? I will answer all those questions and more in the video. Grab your favorite cheek products and a couple of brushes because you're going to be learning how to add life to your face.

March 2014 Favorites

Are you ready for the monthly favorites cliché? Ok, here we go... March went by so fast! I honestly can't believe how fast it went by. I swear that time has just flown by since I started blogging last year. One minute I'm hauling things, the other I'm featuring them on monthly favorites. That's just the way things go around here. This month I don't have too many things to show you but I just noticed that the majority of the things are matte. Matte finishes are usually associated with fall and winter, but I feel like I should declare that matte is officially in for spring!

February 2014 Favorites

February has come and gone! Honestly, where did month go? I feel like I just recorded my January favorites like last week! In this month I have a couple of the products that were in the big haul I showed you last month, so there's a lot of new products that I've never talked about. Last month may have been all about tangerine lips, but in February I toned it back a bit and started embracing more neutral colors. What can I say? I like to shake things up even if it's by toning down my look.

Face of the Day | The Beauty of Simplicity

There was once a time that colored eyeshadow and smokey eyes used to be my go-to looks, even for school. When I first started getting into makeup I figured I could apply almost any color on my face, so I did. Looking back at those pictures aren't necessarily embarrassing, but I do wish I could have taken it easy with Electric Eel (an eyeshadow that I bought just because of MGTM's song Electric Feel). Nowadays I have learned to embrace more neutral looks that enhance some of my features. Hopefully this will be a stage in my life that I look back upon and think "I looked nice," instead of "WHOA, BLUE EYESHADOW!"

MY BIGGEST HAUL EVER!

It is finally time for me to show you all of the things I hauled during December and January. I did quite a bit of damage but good thing both my birthday and Christmas are in December so I usually end up with quite a bit of shopping money by the time the sales begin. In this haul I have a little bit of everything from drugstore items, to beauty tools, and even some high end products. I'm a bit proud and ashamed at the same time at how many products I have in this beauty... can I use the whole "being a beauty blogger" excuse for this haul?
