Despite owning a lot of eyeshadow palettes, for some reason I had never dedicated a video to my favorite palettes in my makeup collection. In this post I'm going to be showing you my all-time favorite eyeshadow palettes for every budget and color preference. There're palettes that are a complete steal and others that will be great everyday investments. I even made sure to include options for people who love neutrals and more colorful options, as well as those who prefer matte to shimmer. And as always, you're going to be getting a lot of information in this post and swatches so you know what to expect.

Milk Makeup Holographic Stick Tutorial
The Milk Makeup Holographic Stick in Supernova is easily one of my favorite makeup launches this year. You may remember my review on the Holographic Stick that I posted a few months ago, but today I'm going to be showing you a very simple tutorial incorporating the iridescent lavender highlight that I've been loving so damn much. I honestly never thought that I would go for a more funky highlight, but the Holographic Stick is surprisingly very wearable! You can use it to highlight your face, as an eyeshadow, and you can even apply a little on your lips to give them an icy look. Apart from using the Holographic Stick, I'm also going to be using a few new Milk Makeup products in this video.

Ride or Die Tag + Makeup Look
One of the most popular tags going around YouTube at the moment is the Ride or Die Tag which was created by the uber popular Jaclyn Hill. I initially wasn't planning on recording this tag until I saw other people talking and actually using all their all-time favorite products in a tutorial. I found that version of the tag far more entertaining and helpful, so I decided to give it a go. This tag is a great way to find out what people's holy grail products are and how they look like when applied to the face. In my video you'll definitely see a lot of familiar products and some that I don't tend to show much on video but use a lot in my regular life.

3 Ways to Wear Red Lipstick
The 3 Ways to Style videos got a little beauty makeover. When I started brainstorming the "3 Ways to" video series, I always knew that I wanted to take that video concept and adapt it to makeup. I feel like many people will purchase something that is out of their comfort zone and rarely wear the product or always wear it the same way. For example, I still get so many questions about how to wear red lipstick since it's so bright and in your face. I understand that people can get intimidated by such an intense shade, so my goal for this series is to show the versatility of a specific makeup product. I'm starting out this series with a classic warm red lipstick, which has become somewhat of my signature look. I also teamed up with my friend Will Cook for this video, so you'll be seeing a total of 6 ways to wear a red lipstick.

Get Ready With Me: My Brother's Graduation
Last week my younger brother graduated from university, so you can just imagine how excited all of my family was. We literally spent all of last week getting things ready for his graduation party, and let me tell you things were a little crazy at home. We were putting lights on the palm trees, preparing Mexican food, and of course there's was a lot of tidying up to do. At the end of the day, all of our hard work paid off and my brother enjoyed his graduation to the fullest. This reminds me, how has it been 3 years since I graduated?? Time sure flies by after you graduate from university!

Get Ready with Me: Outside Lands Music Festival
Although I'm mentally getting ready for the Kaaboo music festival in San Diego, I wanted to share with you this look I wore to Outside Lands last month. I recorded this little Get Ready with Me on the third and last day of Outside Lands. While the look itself isn't anything crazy, I did decide to add some metallic tattoos to jazz things up. Plus, I think a touch of gold was more than appropriate considering Elton John was the headliner that night. I totally missed my opportunity to rock a 90's Elton John concert shirt though! Ugh, I'll have to remember to dig through my collection of concert t-shirts next time.

Get Ready With Me: Casual Summer Afternoon | Collab with Mika Chan Sailor
It's been a while since my last Get Ready With Me video but they're back! This video is in collaboration with my very creative friend across the Atlantic, Mika Chan Sailor. She is an incredible DIY enthusiast, fellow Lord of the Rings fan, and one of my best YouTube friends. I'm always blown away by her creativity, so when she asked me if I wanted to collaborate I said YES! In this video you'll get to see how I did my makeup, hair, nails, and I'll also show you my very casual outfit. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.

May 2015 Ipsy Bag Opening
I've you've seen my Ipsy bag openings, then you would know that I've always been very happy about the subscription services. There has been a few products that haven't worked out, but the bag as a whole has never disappointed me. This month's bag was by far the most exciting bag that I've ever received from Ipsy. I swear I felt like the Nintendo 64 kid as I was opening this bag, I just can't help but get a little too excited over makeup and skincare.
April 2015 Favorites
Ahhhhhhh... It's gonna be May! Well it already technically is May, but I just felt like starting off a blog post with that because I'm a 90's kid for life. Before we begin a brand new month of beauty discoveries and rediscoveries, it is time to look back the my most-used products in the month of April. There's a good mix of new and familiar products, as well as drugstore and high-end makeup. And how pretty is the flower arrangement? An event planner dropped it off after an event finished up outside of work and now I get to use it to make my pictures much more springy.

Ethereal Eyes with Ulta
Say hello to today's model, my mom. When I went to Ulta a few weeks ago, I was originally going to be the one modeling two of their five spring obsessions but I decided to switch things up last minute. My mom is a woman who has lived through many dramatic makeup eras. There was the overly bronzed 70's, the bright eyeshadows in the 80's, and don't forget about the dark lips in the 90's. For her age, my mom looks amazing but she doesn't like stepping out of her makeup comfort zone very much- even if trying something new will make her look more youthful. For that reason I had Angie try out the "ethereal eyes" trend on my mom, and let's just say that she thought she looked "waumaci" (wow + amazing).
Contouring with Ulta
I'll be the first to tell you that I'm not the best when it comes to contouring. I can bronze up my face without a problem, but defining and creating shadows doesn't come naturally for me. Contouring is one of the biggest trends of 2015, so when Ulta reached out to me about creating a video about one of their five spring obsessions I knew that I wanted to learn how to contour my face. Angie, one of the prestige brand managers in San Diego, guided me along my contour journey and showed me how to contour with both cream and powder products. Let's just say that I'm no longer intimidated by a little contouring.

1940's Makeup Tutorial
A few weeks ago Abby, one of the YouTubers that inspired me to start making videos, contacted me to see if I wanted to do a collab. The challenge: Create a video inspired by a decade. Since I have been told several times that my features remind them of old actresses/1940's style women, then I decided to do something inspired by the 1940's. In my newest tutorial I'm going to walk you through the look I created so you can achieve a very feminine and retro look yourself. As I previously mentioned, this video is a collab, but not a regular collab- it is a big one! Myself and six other YouTubers are part of the #DecadesCollab, all the links will be listed down below.

Makeup for Work
I've been extremely busy at work the past few weeks and I honestly haven't had much time to play around with makeup. Last week the place I work at opened their second location. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal but when you're talking about a small business a second location is a huge deal. I've been taking a lot more shifts and responsibilities which has in turn slowed down my blog and YouTube just a bit. Since I've been busy I decided to film a quick tutorial right before I left to work on Tuesday. This tutorial is great for any working woman, student, or busy mom.

Music Festival Makeup Bag
It's time for me to pack up some of my beauty arsenal and take them along with me to San Francisco. And yes, this is me packing light. When it comes to makeup I will usually take a lot on a trip because I like having options, but this time I'm just taking things that are practical. I would like to state that Outside Lands is not Coachella, the weather is much cooler and it's not held in the desert so I feel like I can get away with more makeup there. The products that I'm taking along with me are easy to use, multitasking, and compact. I'm going to stop talking now and present you my music festival makeup bag.

Sunkissed Summer Tag
My friend Siri from Norway recently tagged me to film the Sunkissed Summer Tag! While I'm not the biggest fan of summer I still decided to film this tag because it's a really fun tag. There's a lot of summer related questions, product recommendations, and two ice cream flavors that I would die to have. There's a little bit of everything all wrapped up into one little tag video.

My Everyday Makeup Look
My everyday makeup look has to be quick, simple, and easy. Today I'll be sharing with you how I get my "signature" look. The products do rotate because of my big makeup selection but the overall look is the same. I'm on a one eyeshadow, mascara, and bright lips type of girl. This look should take less than 15 minutes to do so it would also double as a great makeup look for anyone going to school or work.

May 2014 Favorites
It's time for my May favorites! This past month I was really enjoying eye products as you can see from the picture above. I discovered two great drugstore palettes, a very surprising eyeshadow primer, and an eyeliner that stays put all day. Apart from eye products I really enjoy items that are very easy to wear and give me the option to either wear them sheerly or make them more opaque. I'm all about versatile and easy to use products as you all know by now.

Face of the Day | The Muted Red Lip
Last week I went to MAC to drop off some empties and get two products through the Back to MAC program. I went to MAC with a list of lipsticks that I wanted to swatch but I ended up gravitating to a color that I haven't heard many talk about. It isn't a bright shade for spring and summer but it's definitely a color that I'll be wearing a lot. This red lipstick proves that not all red lipstick are created equal. Say hello to the muted red lip!

How to Blend Eyeshadow #BeautyBasics
Welcome to the first official #BeautyBasics video! This was the video that you voted for on the blog poll last week. Thank you to everyone who voted on the blog poll! Make sure to vote on the newest blog poll which is located on the right column. For this first video I'm going to show you how to blend eyeshadows. It sounds like it's an easy thing (and it is) but I still remember how bad I was at blending when I started experimenting with makeup. Blending is very easy but it requires some effort on your part because unfortunately there's no such thing as an eyeshadow that just blends out by itself. So grab yourself an eyeshadow palette and your fluffiest brushes because you're heading to "blending 101."
