Review | Affordable Brush Set from Born Pretty Store

Affordable Brush Set from Born Pretty Store
By now you all know that I'm all for affordable brushes and products when they're perform well. When it comes to brushes (even cheap ones) I want them to be soft, perform well, and also have a nice shape. When I came across this affordable set of brushes on Born Pretty Store, I have to admit that I was very excited to test them out. The shapes of the brushes looked perfect for foundation, contour, blending out concealer, and blending out eyeshadows. I had an elaborate idea of creating a review/tutorial so I could demonstrate how each brush works, but unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Let's just say that there's only so much I can do with these brushes and they're definitely not as great as I was hoping they would be.

Review | NON.U Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen

NON.U Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen Review
Once upon a time I said that "I couldn't be bothered" with lip liners, which is a little hard to believe now but when I filmed the Lip Product Addict Tag I was not a big fan of lip liners. Well it took about a year for me to get hooked on lip liners and nowadays I own way too many of them. Here's why I changed my mind: Lip liners make ridiculously easy to achieve nice and defined lips, and they also help with the longevity of a lip product. I've tested out various affordable lip liners from the drugstore, and most recently I gave the NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen from Born Pretty a shot. These $2.29 lip liners claim to be waterproof and long wearing, but do they live up to those claims?

The Easiest Way to Fix Makeup Mistakes

The Easiest Way to Fix Makeup Mistakes
So you've done almost your entire makeup routine and suddenly you get mascara on the bridge of your nose? That's a beauty scenario that happens way too often in my life. There's also all the times when you've blinked and gotten mascara on your lower eyelid, and all those times that you've tried to wing out your eyeliner and somehow it just kept getting thicker and thicker in order to "fix" your mistakes. Luckily I've found a two step process that doesn't require lugging around your oil-based makeup remover or wasting an entire makeup wipe just to fix something that is smaller than a dime. All you're going to need is a handy dandy tool that costs less than $5 and a cotton swab.

Review | Me Now Generation II Long Lasting Lip Gloss from Born Pretty Store

Me Now Generation II Long Lasting Lip Gloss from Born Pretty Store
Long lasting lip products have become somewhat of an obsession of mine this year. I've tried a good amount of these lip products and I recently got the opportunity to try yet another one from Born Pretty Store. When I saw this product online it immediately reminded me of the much hyped about Sephora Cream Lip Stain that I reviewed a few months ago. The Cream Lip Stain retails for $13 while the Born Pretty Store option retails for $3.55 so naturally I began to compare these two because I like saving money just like many of you out there. So how does the affordable option compare to the higher end matte lip cream?

Music Festival Makeup Bag

Music Festival Makeup Bag
It's time for me to pack up some of my beauty arsenal and take them along with me to San Francisco. And yes, this is me packing light. When it comes to makeup I will usually take a lot on a trip because I like having options, but this time I'm just taking things that are practical. I would like to state that Outside Lands is not Coachella, the weather is much cooler and it's not held in the desert so I feel like I can get away with more makeup there. The products that I'm taking along with me are easy to use, multitasking, and compact. I'm going to stop talking now and present you my music festival makeup bag.

In this haul you'll get a good mix of drugstore and high end products, and even some very interesting stuff from Mexico.

June 2014 Favorites

June 2014 Favorites
Half of 2014 is now gone and it's now time for yet another monthly favorites video. This month I got to try out a lot of great new products and also rediscover a few oldies. I really enjoyed things that made my makeup routine a lot quicker and easier since I did start working in June. A lot of the products featured in this video also have reviews either on my blog or YouTube channel so I will link you to those in case you're interested in learning more about them.

Tutorial | Purple Look Using MAC Eyeshadows

Purple Look Using MAC Eyeshadows
After my 4 or More Tag video where I showed my large MAC eyeshadow collection I was asked by a subscriber to film a tutorial using my purple eyeshadows. Today I'll be showing you a simple way to wear purple eyeshadow without it being obnoxious. The overall look is very soft and pretty, and the best thing is that it can easily be recreated with the purple eyeshadows in your collection.

Review | Bubu Professional Eyebrow Mascara

Bubu Professional Eyebrow MascaraMy eyebrow product collection is rapidly growing thanks to the need to have a strong brow game. As much as I enjoy doing my brows, sometimes I'm too lazy to fill them in precisely. When I don't have the time or feel too lazy to go in with a brow pencil I've been using this very affordable eyebrow mascara from Born Pretty. This looks pretty much like a mascara except for the fact the wand and bristles are small enough to fit pretty much any eyebrow shape.

Review + Tutorial | Born Pretty 7pcs Brush Set

A few months ago I was approached by Born Pretty to review an item of my choice. Picking that one item I wanted review was certainly no easy task because they literally have everything from nail art supplies to iPhone cases! And the best part is that everything is well organized and there's free shipping worldwide. I began to look at all the brush kits they offer and this one caught my eye because of the case. It just looked like something I can easily travel with without having to worry about damaging my brushes. Another thing that attracted me to these brushes was the color combination because by now you should know that I love both gold and orange. In this blog post you'll find a review on the brushes as well as a makeup tutorial featuring the brushes in action.
