I may not wear clothing with florals, but I do love myself a nice floral perfume. My love for floral perfumes almost doesn't make any sense when I really think about it. Here you have this tomboy who really doesn't care much for flowers smelling like she walked through a flower field. For whatever reason it may be, I'm just really attracted to the delicate and feminine floral scents. I may not dress like a lady, talk like a lady, but I sure smell like one classy lady (although I'm way too awkward to be considered one).

April 2016 Favorites
April was the month that I embraced some of my most minimal makeup looks. There were a few days that I would just add concealer, mascara, and a tinted lip balm. I've been switching my thicker foundations for light weight options and my matte liquid lipsticks for hydrating tinted balms. I also discovered two skincare items that have been helping out a lot on the problematic areas on my skin. I honestly didn't realize how many products were on heavy rotation this month until I gathered them all, but it should make for a good favorites video.

Review | L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime CC Cream
There's nothing I hate more than wearing a heavy foundation in the summer. I don't like the feeling like you're wearing a thick mask, and then you have to worry about how your foundation is going to look throughout the day. When it comes to bases for the summer, I always favor those with light/medium coverage since they tend to feel much lighter on the skin. I've tried a fair number of BB and CC creams in the past, but I have to be completely honest and say that I haven't been that impressed. I rarely see the skincare benefits and the most of them have lacked in coverage. When I first heard about the L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime CC Cream, I became very intrigued to see a skincare company's version of a CC cream. This CC cream contains peony extract which has skin perfecting qualities that are supposed to even skin tone and make it appear more radiant. In this blog post you'll find both my first impression review, and a more in depth review which includes comparison pictures.
Music Festival Makeup Bag
It's time for me to pack up some of my beauty arsenal and take them along with me to San Francisco. And yes, this is me packing light. When it comes to makeup I will usually take a lot on a trip because I like having options, but this time I'm just taking things that are practical. I would like to state that Outside Lands is not Coachella, the weather is much cooler and it's not held in the desert so I feel like I can get away with more makeup there. The products that I'm taking along with me are easy to use, multitasking, and compact. I'm going to stop talking now and present you my music festival makeup bag.

Top 5 Fragrances for Summer
I don't know if you may know this, but apart from being a lipstick and nail polish addict I am also a perfume addict. I love collecting perfume, showering myself in perfume, and also smelling perfumes every time I go into a store. Yes, I'm that girl spritzing a bunch of those paper things at Sephora. For this latest top 5 I'm going to share with you some of my favorites fragrances for the summer. I tried my best to a nice variety of scents and also price range because I know a $70 bottle of perfume isn't exactly affordable.
