December 2015 Favorites

December 2015 Favorites
The time has come to share my very last favorites video of 2015. I honestly can't believe how fast this year has gone by and within a few hours we're going to be in 2016. I feel like I'm not ready for a new year to begin, but before I say goodbye to 2015 I want to share with you my standout and most used products in the month of December. There's certainly a few holy grail products in my last favorites video that you won't want to miss. Some of these products might even pop up in my "Top 15 of 2015" video that I'll be recording and uploading in January. If that's not enough to entice you to click on this post, I don't know what will.

September 2014 Favorites

September 2014 Favorites
You know what time it is? It's time for me to show you all my favorite products I discovered and rediscovered in September. This monthly favorites is unlike my other ones because not only do I only have 1 lip product (yes, just one) but I'm also going to sharing some brushes that I've been loving. I rarely talk about my favorite makeup tools but I certainly do pick favorites among my brush collection and just keep using them every time I do my makeup. As always there's both high end and drugstore products in my video so I'm sure there will be something that will catch your eye.

Tutorial | Simple & Quick Makeup

Simple & Quick Makeup
As much as I love makeup sometimes I just don't have the time to just sit there and blend out 4 different eyeshadows. I am a girl who loves sleeping so I'll gladly trade some makeup time for more sleep. This is a makeup tutorial for those of you who don't have a lot of time in the morning to create an intricate look for school, work, or a lunch with your friends. Most of the products I used are from the drugstore so it will be super easy to recreate. Also, I did things a little different in this tutorial but you'll have to watch it to find out.

May 2014 Favorites

May favorites
It's time for my May favorites! This past month I was really enjoying eye products as you can see from the picture above. I discovered two great drugstore palettes, a very surprising eyeshadow primer, and an eyeliner that stays put all day. Apart from eye products I really enjoy items that are very easy to wear and give me the option to either wear them sheerly or make them more opaque. I'm all about versatile and easy to use products as you all know by now.

Unsung Heroes at the Drugstore

Unsung Heroes at the Drugstore
We all know that there's some great products sold at the drugstore. While some products get a lot of rave reviews, there's some amazing products that not too many people talk about. Today I'm going to be sharing with you some of my favorite products that I haven't heard too much about. If you're looking for some new items to try from the drugstore then just keep reading.

Face of the Day | Pink and Lilac

face of the day
You all know by now that I'm a neutral type of girl but lately I've been really loving really feminine colors like lilac and dare I say... pink. While I'm still not a fan of pink clothing, I have definitely been loving pink blushes and lip products. I know, pinks and lilacs for spring? Groundbreaking. For me this is a departure from my taupe comfort zone and I can't wait to start playing more with color, even if I opt for sheer formulas.

April 2014 Favorites

April Favorites
This monthly favorites is certainly a colorful one as you can tell from the picture above. If there is a theme for this month's favorites it would definitely be low-maintenance products. All the makeup bits that I've been loving recently are not only colorful but very fuss-free. Since the weather has been getting quite hot lately I've been opting for things that are quick, simple, and look very natural on my skin. I also have to share with you some of my favorite skincare items because there's a few stuff that have been really helping me combat my oily skin.

Spring Foundation Routine for Oily Skin

Spring Foundation Routine for Oily Skin
Spring is here and if you're anything like me it already feels like summer where you live. The last thing I want to wear during the warmer days is a face full of makeup so that's why I opt for mineral makeup instead. With mineral makeup it often feels like it's not doing anything and then suddenly your face looks more even and flawless. It's like magic! The more you buff, the more your skin starts looking really good. In my latest tutorial I'll be showing you my very simple face routine which will give you a very natural and fresh look.

Review + Tutorial | Born Pretty 7pcs Brush Set

A few months ago I was approached by Born Pretty to review an item of my choice. Picking that one item I wanted review was certainly no easy task because they literally have everything from nail art supplies to iPhone cases! And the best part is that everything is well organized and there's free shipping worldwide. I began to look at all the brush kits they offer and this one caught my eye because of the case. It just looked like something I can easily travel with without having to worry about damaging my brushes. Another thing that attracted me to these brushes was the color combination because by now you should know that I love both gold and orange. In this blog post you'll find a review on the brushes as well as a makeup tutorial featuring the brushes in action.

MY BIGGEST HAUL EVER!

It is finally time for me to show you all of the things I hauled during December and January. I did quite a bit of damage but good thing both my birthday and Christmas are in December so I usually end up with quite a bit of shopping money by the time the sales begin. In this haul I have a little bit of everything from drugstore items, to beauty tools, and even some high end products. I'm a bit proud and ashamed at the same time at how many products I have in this beauty... can I use the whole "being a beauty blogger" excuse for this haul?

Face of the Day | Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so to honor those women who are breast cancer survivors and those who have lost loved ones to it, I've decided to create a wearable look that incorporates a lot of pink. Personally I haven't been affected by Breast Cancer but I have had family members pass away due to other types of cancer so I know how important it is to raise awareness. Women as soon as in their 20s should start being more proactive and do breast self-exams regularly. For more information about the breast self-exam and what abnormalities to look for I recommend you to look at this article from Cancer.org.
