Face of the Day | Copper and Green

Face of the Day | Copper and Green
You already saw the outfit I wore on this day, now I'm going to be showing you my makeup. I got the LORAC Pro Palette a few weeks ago after hearing about for over a year on YouTube. It was one of those products that looked very nice but I felt like I didn't need in my life. That was until I got a coupon from Ulta that allowed me to get the palette for a discounted price so I was like "why not?" Now I'm super glad that I made that purchase because so far I've been loving that palette. On this occasion I decided to play with two of the warmer shades in the palette to create a copper shade that provided the nicest contrast to a forest green sweater.

Spring Foundation Routine for Oily Skin

Spring Foundation Routine for Oily Skin
Spring is here and if you're anything like me it already feels like summer where you live. The last thing I want to wear during the warmer days is a face full of makeup so that's why I opt for mineral makeup instead. With mineral makeup it often feels like it's not doing anything and then suddenly your face looks more even and flawless. It's like magic! The more you buff, the more your skin starts looking really good. In my latest tutorial I'll be showing you my very simple face routine which will give you a very natural and fresh look.

Face of the Day | The Bare Minimum

As much as I love makeup there's just days that I feel a little too lazy to do something intricate. Whether you have to go to school, run errands, or have the perfect opportunity to film a video- sometimes you just have to put your laziness aside and slap some makeup on. Today was one of those days that I felt like doing the bare minimum on my face in order to film a video because my house was completely quiet. This look requires little time, your fingers, and a bright lip to liven up your face.

Face of the Day | The Beauty of Simplicity

There was once a time that colored eyeshadow and smokey eyes used to be my go-to looks, even for school. When I first started getting into makeup I figured I could apply almost any color on my face, so I did. Looking back at those pictures aren't necessarily embarrassing, but I do wish I could have taken it easy with Electric Eel (an eyeshadow that I bought just because of MGTM's song Electric Feel). Nowadays I have learned to embrace more neutral looks that enhance some of my features. Hopefully this will be a stage in my life that I look back upon and think "I looked nice," instead of "WHOA, BLUE EYESHADOW!"

The Concealer Roundup

If you'd tell me that I could only choose 5 makeup products to own for the rest of my life one of them would certainly be a concealer. Concealers aren't just for covering up blemishes anymore. Some illuminate, others cover up redness, and then there are others that even treat darkness. Concealers can easily be used to give you the appearance that you actually got 8 hours of sleep, or that you have flawless skin.

Tutorial | NYE 2014 Look

Yesterday I mentioned that you can never go wrong with gold and today I bring you even more gold! As I said this is one of the few times a year that you can go all out, so why not? I've had this glitter liner sitting in my makeup collection for a few years not knowing how to use it until I saw a bunch of tutorials using glitter liner on the lid. Why did it take me so long to use it like that? I don't know why but damn! I am absolutely obsessed with how this look turned out.

Face of the Day | Glam Holiday Look

So I already showed you an easy holiday look but today I have a more dramatic look for those who are planning to get dressed up this Christmas. While a lot of people try to incorporate a red lip to their holiday look I decided to go for green. A deep green smokey eye always looks amazing on anyone in my opinion. I'm going to be showing you how I got my glam look using primarily drugstore products.

Tutorial | Easy Holiday Look

It's day 3 of holiday week! Today I have a very easy holiday makeup look perfect for a casual Christmas or holiday party. It is a very simple and quick tutorial for those that don't have a lot of time to get ready. I actually worse this to my grandmother's birthday yesterday except I changed the lips so they could match my orange sweater. On Friday I'm going to have a more glam makeup option for those who want to look like a goddess on Christmas.

Tutorial | St. Vincent

Last week St. Vincent announced her upcoming album by releasing a promotional image with dramatic makeup at around midnight or so. Naturally every St. Vincent fan (including me) went wild! Not only did she release promotional images but there was also a 30 second clip of a new song and European tour dates announced. Maybe that doesn't sound too exciting for everyone but when your favorite female musician and music innovator announces a new album, you better get excited! I found the look to be very eccentric kind of like David Bowie during the Ziggy Stardust era. I was very inspired by the picture so I decided to recreate the dramatic look. I hope you all like it!

Halloween Tutorials | David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust

I've been a David Bowie fan since I was a kid all thanks to my dad who's a big music fan. My dad introduced me to 1970s glam rockers when I was just a toddler and there was something about how flamboyant the singers were that really caught my attention. Ziggy Stardust in particular is extremely interesting because David Bowie really pushed the boundaries of sexuality by creating this extraterrestrial glam rocker alter ego. I decided to recreate this look which was Ziggy's signature look, the one with the thunderbolt across the face is not Ziggy but another alter ego named Aladdin Sane. Enough chit chat and let's get on to this glam rock look that will have people asking if you're from another planet.

Get Ready with My Mom!

On Saturday my mom had to go to a wedding so it was up to me to do her makeup. I asked her if I could film for my channel and she said "sure," but knowing how she's still a bit shy in front of the camera I decided to turn this into a "get ready with me" type of video instead of having her talk. I hope in the future you get to hear her because she's quite a funny person, but I'll have to do some subtitling since she speaks nothing but good ol' Spanish. She asked me to do a smokey eye which is her default look to be honest (I guess she never quite outgrew the bold 80's and 90's eye makeup). I decided to put a modern spin on a smokey eye by using a beautiful MAC Mineralized eyeshadow that has very fine blue glitter.

Covering Up Post-Acne Marks With Vichy Dermablend

I wrote a review about the Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Cream Stick a few weeks ago and now it's time to put the product to test! I've used the cream stick along with the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation to cover up my acne marks and even out my skintone. I've shared some of my techniques that I use when my skin is at it's worst.

Review | Vichy Dermablend Ultra Corrective Cream Stick

A foundation that can cover literally everything, that's the stuff dreams are made of. One only dreams of a multitasking product that can cover everything from pesky zits to veins and Vichy delivers. The Vichy Dermablend Ultra Corrective Cream Stick claims to last 12 hours and have a medium to high coverage while being gentle enough for those who have sensitive skin. Sounds a little too good to be true right?

How much is my face worth?

The last thing a beauty addict wants to know is how much money she's spending on products. Well this tag can be a beauty addict's worst nightmare. I saw this on my friend's blog eyeheartmakeup, and I thought it was a very interesting tag. I know beauty gurus and bloggers have done the popular $20 makeup challenge and other drugstore related posts but we all know that the products featured are sometimes not part of their everyday products. So how much money are you spending on your everyday face products and makeup?
