My love for Warby Parker goes waaay back to even before I began this little beauty blog, I began following them around 2011 when I was just 21. Once I started my blog they became the very first brand to reach out to me to see if I wanted work with them (you can read that post here). From the moment I tried out their home try-on program in 2013 and learned more about their ethos, I knew this brand was truly special. It's no secret that Warby Parker revolutionized the way we shop for glasses, but for me they were the brand that opened my mind and allowed me to see glasses as more than just a boring and expensive life necessity. I currently own two pairs of Warby Parker frames (a pair of eyeglasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses) and I'm looking to expand my Warby Parker collection so I decided to try out some new frames. This time around I paid close attention to the measurements of each frame to make sure that each frame was going to suit my face.

What's In My Bag? | Everlane The Twill Zip Tote
Today I decided to film one of the YouTube beauty guru classics, a simple "What's In My Bag?" video. It's been over a year and a half since the last time I filmed one, so it was time for me to show you what I'm now carrying inside my bag. I also have a new everyday bag which is practical, simple, and very minimal. I personally don't like carrying something that has the brand's name or emblem splattered throughout the whole bag, it's just not my cup of tea. My new everyday bag is the Everlane The Twill Zip Tote, which is roomy enough for all my belongings and built very well. This is by far the most comfortable handbag/tote bag that I own, and I love knowing that it was made ethically.

Outfit of the Day | Chill 4th of July
With 4th of July just a couple of days away, I had to show you my subtle take on 4th of July fashion. I know this may sound hard to believe, but there was once a time that I would deck myself out with so much red, white, and blue. I still remember going to Limited Too as a sixth grader and picking out everything that had stars and stripes. Although it's fun to rock your patriotic AF look on the 4th of July, nowadays I prefer a much more subtle approach. Last week when I went thrifting, I found this beautiful striped top which luckily fit me perfectly. You can easily wear a striped top, relaxed jeans, sandals, and a red lip to any of your 4th of July festivities. It's possible to look patriotic without having to pile on all the red, white, and blue you can find.
Outfit of the Day | Springtime Edge
What comes in mind when you think of spring trends? Pastels, floral prints, festival wear, rompers... What about leather jackets? Well, I know you normally wouldn't think of a leather jacket for spring but I do things quite differently. This Levi's leather jacket was purchased over 5 years ago and it still is my one and only leather jacket in my wardrobe. By this point in time, this has become my ride or die jacket. This jacket has seen Paul McCartney at Outside Lands, explored Budapest with absolutely no phone reception, seen some bad ass DJs in Paris, and even met St. Vincent after a show. We're inseparable and I honestly couldn't imagine ever parting ways with it.

Outfit of the Day | Experimenting with Mom Jeans
Ever since I saw the Mom Jeans SNL Skit a few years go, I couldn't help but to poke fun at the mom jeans trend. I honestly thought the mom jeans trend was going to die rather quickly, but it's back again since 90's nostalgia has hit an all time high with my generation. And I'm not going to lie, I do miss the days when fashion was incredibly comfortable while being a little bit on the weird side. During a recent trip to the Salvation Army I made it a mission to try on one of the infamous 90's jeans, just to see if I could perhaps pull it off. Well... I still don't think they're particularly flattering, but they're so damn comfortable that I couldn't care less about everything else. Comfort + 90's Nostalgia = Match made in heaven.

What's In My Music Festival Bag?
One of the most popular videos to record for beauty/style YouTubers is the classic "What's in my bag?" video. I've even done a few myself but I decided to add a little twist this time around. Why not show you what I'm took to a music festival AT the music festival? Yes, I asked my boyfriend to record me take out all the items out my backpack while I was waiting for the next act to go up. I got a lot of weird stares, but it's ok because frankly I'm used to them by now. The video was recorded on the third and final day of Outside Lands, a.k.a. the day I camped out in the front of the stage to see Elton John. That should explain why I had so much food in my bag, but I have absolutely no excuse for all the lip products.

Outfit of the Day | Back to School (not really)
Happy Monday! I haven't done an outfit of the day in over a month so I figured that it was time for a new post. This is what I wore last Friday when I visited my boyfriend. The outfit features a very comfortable loose baby doll dress that I got at Zara during their summer sale. If you're a girl who basically lives in t-shirts then you have to check out baby doll dresses. I know this style of dress isn't everyone's cup of tea but they're an incredibly comfortable option for casual or long days at school.

August 2014 Favorites
I am back with another monthly favorites and the third video of this week! What can I say? I had a lot of catching up to do and I still do with over 100 videos in my YouTube "watch later" playlist and over a thousand blog posts in my Bloglovin' feed. I'll eventually get through everything but today I'm just going to be focusing on a few products that I kept using over and over this past month. I have some amazing Tarte products that I'm going to be raving about in this video and also a very inexpensive concealer that might be "holy grail" status.

Sunkissed Summer Tag
My friend Siri from Norway recently tagged me to film the Sunkissed Summer Tag! While I'm not the biggest fan of summer I still decided to film this tag because it's a really fun tag. There's a lot of summer related questions, product recommendations, and two ice cream flavors that I would die to have. There's a little bit of everything all wrapped up into one little tag video.

The Summer Fashion Haul
Here is part 2 of my mini haul week over on my YouTube channel. Thank to the summer sales I've been able to find a bunch of great wardrobe staples for a fraction of the price. I've picked up a lot of striped items, basic shirts, and even some very versatile sandals which I'm probably going to keep wearing until late fall. This fashion haul is unlike my other hauls I've done in the past because instead of trying to describe the item I'm actually going to show you how each of the items looks on me.

Fashion Brunch at the W Hotel
On Sunday I finally got to see some of my blogger friends and meet some new San Diego Style Bloggers members at the Fashion Brunch. The W Hotel in San Diego hosted a fabulous brunch filled with amazing food from their Kelvin Restaurant which included a delicious egg benedict and waffles with caramel drizzled on top. Over a year ago I attended my first blogger event at the W Hotel and it felt amazing to be back at the place where I met some of my friends for the first time. Not only was there good food but also very unique jewelry by two local artists which you will be introduced to in this blog post.

Warby Parker Sunglasses
I have been wearing glasses for a little over 8 years now and I've never had prescription sunglasses. I'm always squinting to try and block the sun, or using sunglasses and seeing everything blurry. I am finally going to give in and buy prescription sunglasses from my favorite eyeglass company, Warby Parker. In this video I will show you the five frames and talk a little bit about them. I also need your help because I'm undecided and need to purchase the sunglasses real soon!
Outfit of the Day | Relaxed
If you've been following my blog for a bit then you'll know that my style is extremely basic and comfortable. I love basic pieces like this new polka dot top from Tommy Hilfiger because I can wear them multiple ways. I actually picked up this top at Costco which may sound a little hard to believe but they've been carrying some really cute items recently. Nevertheless I'm going to be showing you yet another relaxed outfit idea that is perfect for going out to the mall or for a little photo shoot on a very windy day.

Outfit of the Day | Lucky Fabb West 2014
I'm finally back from a very fun weekend in Los Angeles. I'm currently very tired but Lucky Fabb was so much fun. I got to meet so many great bloggers, get inspired, and enjoy a mini break from my day-to-day routine. The first day of Lucky Fabb consisted of the sessions so I made sure to choose something comfortable that would reflect my personal style. The dress I'm wearing actually belonged to my mom. She was cleaning out her closet when I spotted the dress and decided to keep it for myself. Let's just say that I'm very happy I "stole" this from my mom because I love the dress.

Outfit of the Day | Downtown
Downtown is one of my favorite areas in San Diego because I can get a taste of what it's like in a big city. San Diego is overall a pretty laid back area comprised of various beach cities, Indian reservations, ranches, and a lot of suburbs. I enjoy Downtown a lot because I get a little of the hustle and bustle that I enjoy, there's always interesting characters on the streets, and a variety of buildings for me to admire. To match my surroundings I decided to wear something that is effortlessly cool (well at least I think it looks cool).
