Summer Favorites

Since I haven't filmed a favorites video since March, I've decided to gather all my frequently used products and share them with you in one summer themed video. I've been very loyal to the products that I will be sharing and many of them are starting to show signs of wear. Since it's summer I will be sharing not one but two sunscreens that are fantastic options for oily skin. I also will be talking about other long wearing products that are perfect for any skin type.

March 2016 Favorites

I refuse to believe that March is now over! I still remember how excited I was to attend #WeAllGrow Summit earlier in the month, then in a blink of an eye the month ended and now we're suddenly in April. This last month was an incredible month for high-end and budget friendly beauty discoveries, definitely much better than February that's for sure. My top beauty finds in March ended up in this latest favorites video and you'll definitely be seeing the ones that didn't make it in next month's video. There's been an incredible amount of amazing beauty products launching as of late, way too many for one favorites video.

Nails of the Day | Baby Blue

Spring is pretty much here in San Diego, so it's time for me to start busting out the pastel shades. Although I'm not a fan of color in my wardrobe, you know that I'm not one to shy away from color on my nails. I probably own every shade of pastel possible: yellow, blue, purple, pink, and lots of mint polishes. I am a complete sucker for pastel colors on my nails and this pastel blue polish has me wanting to use nothing but the heart eyed emoji.

January 2016 Favorites

The first favorites video of the year is finally here! January was such an exciting and productive month for myself. I found myself in a good posting schedule and extremely motivated to create new content. This past month I also introduced the Beauty Bite videos which have become a very fun way for me to quickly review products and share them with you. I did go a little crazy with the reviews, but there were so many drugstore launches in January that I wanted to review as many items as possible before any of you headed out to the stores. Some of the new products were very disappointing *cough Maybelline cough* but I was able to discover two products which became staples this past month.

Outfit of the Day | Scarf Weather

Can you believe that it's gotten so cold that I've had take out my scarves? Yeah, me neither. Although our winters here in San Diego are pretty darn weak when compared to what I experienced while I was studying in Paris, when you experience hot weather almost all year long a 30º F drop makes a huge difference. While it's not cold enough for a thick coat, I have gotten the opportunity to wear my thick burnt orange colored snood I purchased while I was in Paris! I've also been on a serious beanie and boots kick lately and the ones that I'm wearing happen to be from the men's section. Maybe shopping in the men's department won't work for every woman, but if you happen to have big feet and a big head (or lots of hair) then you might want to rethink visiting the men's section without your significant other.

Outfit of the Day | The Drop

In my last outfit of the day post I had mentioned my capsule wardrobe plans, well I did it! I am not partaking in the Project 333 Challenge, but I did declutter my closet quite a lot. I used to have over 200 pieces in my closet and I condensed it to less than 60 clothing pieces. I now feel very comfortable with the number of clothing pieces that I own, but that means that you'll be seeing some pieces over and over on the blog. I'm sure that most of you won't mind since realistically speaking we're all repeat offenders, and that's totally ok! In this blog post I'm going to show you one of my favorite outfits that I've worn this summer which happens to be a great transition piece as we're heading to fall (although it doesn't even feel that way here). It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of subscription boxes. I've recorded so many unboxing videos that I now have a playlist dedicated to subscription boxes. Yeah, my obsession is pretty bad but there's so much to love about these services! You get to try out new products, discover new brands, and build up your makeup collection for a fraction of the price. Not every product is a win in my book, but there has certainly been a lot of great products that I've received in subscription boxes. In this video I'll be running through the best products I've received so far from Ipsy, Boxycharm, Walmart Beauty, and Julep Maven boxes.

Ipsy Bag and Julep Maven Unboxing

I have the mother of all unboxing videos this December! My November Ipsy bag arrived in late November due to a shipping problem, so I decided to just open it along with the December bag. Little did I know my Julep Maven would arrived alongside the Ipsy bag, so then I had the idea to just open all of them in one video. Spoiler alert: I was super happy with everything! Julep currently has some amazing nail polish colors at the moment that are definitely worth checking out. Outfit of the Day | Mint Condition

Time for another outfit of the day! That's the second one this month, I think I deserve a pat on the back. Last weekend when my boyfriend came to visit me it was really hot, too hot to wear a short sleeve + jeans combo. Recently I purchased my first trapeze top and let me tell you this is the most comfortable sleeveless top ever! I love how loose this top is because it didn't cling on to my body whatsoever, plus no one will be able to notice if you ate too much cheese. So now that I have your attention, let me show you my casual outfit with a pop of mint.

Sunkissed Summer Tag

My friend Siri from Norway recently tagged me to film the Sunkissed Summer Tag! While I'm not the biggest fan of summer I still decided to film this tag because it's a really fun tag. There's a lot of summer related questions, product recommendations, and two ice cream flavors that I would die to have. There's a little bit of everything all wrapped up into one little tag video.

First Impression | Julep Plié Wand

When I showed the Julep Plié Wand in one of my newest hauls I got some requests to film a first impression review on it. Julep refers to their Plié Wand as "a revolutionary nail polishing tool" which made me very skeptical. The very long wand with a swivel feature is supposed to make it easier to paint your nails. The Plié Wand is designed to fit any Julep nail polish and they include two brushes for non-Julep nail polishes. Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to the review!

I told you that there was going to be another haul and here it is! 4 or More Tag

I've been seeing the 4 or More Tag floating around YouTube and I decided to tag myself. I found the tag very interesting because you really get an idea of what someone really likes. If you buy a product four or more times then it's definitely a product that you stand by. **WARNING** There's a lot of lip products, but I'm sure that won't be a surprise to anyone.

Outfit of the Day | Lucky Fabb West 2014

I'm finally back from a very fun weekend in Los Angeles. I'm currently very tired but Lucky Fabb was so much fun. I got to meet so many great bloggers, get inspired, and enjoy a mini break from my day-to-day routine. The first day of Lucky Fabb consisted of the sessions so I made sure to choose something comfortable that would reflect my personal style. The dress I'm wearing actually belonged to my mom. She was cleaning out her closet when I spotted the dress and decided to keep it for myself. Let's just say that I'm very happy I "stole" this from my mom because I love the dress.

Julep Maven March 2014 Box

My biggest problem with subscription boxes is that you never know what you'll get. Will you get something that you'll enjoy and actually use, or products that you'll never use? I've been subscribed to the Julep Maven box since October but I've only shown you two boxes because I kept skipping my boxes. One of the things I've enjoyed about Julep (other than their nail polishes) is that they show you exactly what you're going to get. There won't be a surprise factor but I'd rather be a savvy consumer instead of paying money for something I'm never going to use. The March box was just way too gorgeous to pass on it, so in my latest video I'll be showing you the nail polishes I got and how they apply.

NYE 2014 Nails

All that glitters is gold for NYE. Glitter nail polish is always great for special occasions like NY because it looks festive and fun. Plus it's one of the few times a year that you can get away with as much glitter as you want! Instead of going for a traditional gold I went with a more antique gold so it would look more sophisticated and then layered a gold holographic glitter to add more dimension. You can never go wrong with more gold, right?

There's a subscription box for just about anything nowadays. There are some that include beauty samples, others that include a survival package for when you're PMS-ing (I'm not kidding, there are boxes out there), and then there's boxes for nail polish addicts like myself.
