Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder vs. Wet n Wild Color Icon Contouring Palette

Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder vs. Wet n Wild Color Icon Contouring Palette
Welcome to the very first Beauty Battle! Facing off in this battle is the very luxurious Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder and the affordable Wet n Wild Color Icon Contouring Palette. How will they compare? Will they easily blend out? Will they look natural on my skin? What about the texture? There's a lot of thought that goes into comparing a drugstore product to a high-end one, but you can't deny that they look very similar. In this battle you'll see me apply each product on my face, and at the very end I will be crowning the first winner. Do I have anyone who's willing to place a bet?

Here's a better look at both powders, the video kind of washed them out a bit to the point that they look nearly identical with the cloudy lighting. The Marc Jacobs palette is obviously a lot more pigmented, while the Wet n Wild palette is more muted and has a warmer undertone.
Here's the video! I'll be showing you how the powders apply on my face, as well as give you a rundown on both products. At the end of the video you'll find out who is the winner of the Battle of the Contour Powders
Wet n Wild Color Icon Contouring Palette
This is the Wet n Wild Color Icon Contouring Palette side. I used Dulce de Leche palette which has a pale yellow highlight and a warm contour with a salmon undertone. Although the powder has a more salmon undertone, it does look natural on the skin once you blend it out.
Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder
This is the Marc Jacobs #Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder side. I used the Mirage Filter palette which has a light gold highlight and a light bronze contour. I find the Marc Jacobs powders to look the most natural on my skin. It's almost undetectable in the picture but in person my face looks much more defined than before.

And that was the first Beauty Battle! I really hope you enjoyed this video, I will be playing around with the format of the video so that they'll improve with each episode. Also, I some time analyzing my collection and I was able to come up with 16 Beauty Battle ideas! At the moment I can't be buying a bunch of products for this series, but luckily my makeup collection is quite big. Talk about being resourceful (or just a big makeup hoarder)!

Which powder would you buy? Let me know in the comments below.
