Meeting Phoenix

I know not many know but I'm a contributor on the Tumblr page ilovephoenix. Its been something that I've been a part of for three years now which is crazy and what's crazier is that Phoenix know about the site. I was fortunate to see them yesterday at a little private show at the KROQ studio in Los Angeles and even more fortunate to be able to talk to them. I wrote a little more about it on ilovephoenix so click here if you're interested.

Style Inspiration | Thomas Mars

Hi everyone! I want to introduce a new series of fashion posts where I'll be taking inspiration from a musician, actress/actor, or another high profile person and creating a whole look inspired by their style on Polyvore.

The first look is inspired by the lead singer of my favorite French band, Phoenix. The reason why I love Thomas Mars' style is also the reason why I love how French men dress. I can tell that Thomas doesn't put that much effort into his style since most of the things in his wardrobe are great and simple basics, but he comes off as a well put together guy compared to other guys that absolutely put no effort and just step out their house in basketball shorts and a wife beater. Thomas' style is casual, toned down, and very French. I've taken some of his trademark pieces like his infamous blue shirt and added some femininity to it. I've also added some beauty and perfume options that I believe match the overall look.

Tutorial | Vintage Rose Nails

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a great week so far. Today I have a nail art tutorial to share with you inspired by spring! Its very easy to recreate and you don't need any specialty nail  brushes.

Tutorial | Getting ready for school

Do you struggle to get out of bed in the morning for school? Well I do! Sometimes I'm able to wake up as soon as I hear my alarm go off, and other times I snooze it a couple of times until I realize that I only have about 20 minutes to get ready. This tutorial is for those girls who like to press snooze one too many times. You might be thinking well 20 minutes is a long time to get ready but when you like makeup and take a while to pick your outfits, it really isn't.

Hope you enjoy this quick and easy tutorial!

I'm looking forward to upgrading my editing and filming equipment some time in the future but for the time being I have to make the best of what I have.

Hope you have a great day!

Coachella Survival Guide

Coachella Survival Guide
Coachella 2011
Although I won't be going to Coachella this year (plans fell through and I had to sell my ticket, its kind of a long story) it seems people on Tumblr are still asking me for Coachella advice so I've decided to resurrect the Survival Guide that I wrote back in 2011 and write a couple more tips. I will cover everything from clothing to health advice in this post so feel free to share the survival guide with friends and family who will be going to Coachella. And In case you're wondering what qualifies me to write a survival guide I would just like to let you know that I've gone to Coachella 3 years and have learned those a lot those 3 years.

Review | Neutrogena Beauty and Skincare products #NTGBeautifulInsideOut

As you may have seen on Twitter or on my previous outfit of the day post, I spent my spring break with my friends up in Orange County and Long Beach. In order to be able to write a good review about each product I had to test them out for a couple days so I basically took all the Neutrogena products with me on spring break. After testing them out even on harsh conditions like my trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, I think I can now give you my honest opinion about each and every product.

Nails of the Day | Chevron Nails

Here's something you may or may not know about me... I LOOOOVE nail art! I wish I was really good at it but so far my designs are pretty simple. For spring break I decided to do something fun on my nails so I looked up a tutorial on chevron nails and you know what its actually not too hard to replicate. All you're going to need are 3 (or more) colors and some time to wait around for the layers of polish to dry up.

Outfit of the Day | Spring Break!

Spring break is finally here! And although I didn't have the money to take a big trip, I just had to get out of San Diego for a couple of days. I decided to see my friends up in Orange County, go to Six Flags, and not think about school for a couple of days. Since the weather has been rather nice this week I figured out that I can finally think of a way to wear this American Apparel crop top I bought a couple months ago and I think I did. Although the crop top is extremely short I think I can make it work with high waisted pieces like this skirt.
