Mail Time! | Tarte

Tarte recently had a 20% coupon code which I got really excited about. Tarte is just one of those brands that despite the fact that I love their products, I just can't seem to bring myself to purchase their items in their full retail price. What can I say? My broke college student habit has stuck with me event now that I've graduated.

I didn't pick up too many things because even with the discount their prices aren't exactly cheap.
The first item I picked up was the Maracuja Miracle Foundation in Medium-Tan which is for my mom. The foundation is supposed to have anti-aging properties and is highly moisturizing which is why I chose this for my mom. This will be the first time she's ever tried a Tarte foundation so if you want a review about it, I can definitely have her give me her opinions about the foundation.
I've been dying to try a Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush for a good couple of years now because of all the great reviews. This is one of those products that has been hyped by YouTubers and bloggers alike but will it live up to the hype? I'm not sure yet, but I'm very interested in testing out this blush out since my skin is very oily and blush doesn't seem to last very long on me. I chose the shade Achiote because it seemed like it would be a very easy shade to wear. The blush definitely photographed more pink but in real life its is a light coral shade. I feel like the color best resembles the color of a grapefruit rather than the achiote which is a burnt red color. What I love about this blush is that its completely matte. As much as shimmer is nice, especially in the summer, I just find matte shades more wearable. I'm definitely planning on reviewing this product very soon, so be on the lookout for that.
BB creams... Ugh, don't even get me started on them. I haven't had the greatest luck with BB creams in the past. The coverage sucks, they make my skin oilier, and most of the times they end up oxidizing very badly on my skin. The L'Oréal and Maybelline BB creams left me looking like an oompa loompa at the end of the day. It just seems the light shade is never light enough for those who have very fair skin but I'm pleasantly surprised that Tarte offers a fair shade. I'll be trying out the fair and light shades to see how a higher end BB cream differs from a drugstore BB cream.

And that's it! Make sure to follow me on Twitter so you can get informed of coupon codes.
If you would like me to review any other item other than the blush please let me know in the comments below.
