By now pretty much everyone who follows me on my blog and my social media accounts knows that I love my three dogs. All of them are different breeds and sizes, but they're all spoiled rotten and very healthy. My family and I value each dog's health a lot since we want them to stick around for as long as possible. Our love, healthy food choices, and activities have kept the dogs very happy and healthy over the years. Francis is the smallest of our three dogs and as previously mentioned on my blog, she's the pickiest eater. She won't eat the regular adult dog kibble because it's too big and hard, and even though the puppy kibble is much smaller she won't even touch it. Luckily for Francis, Beneful has come up with a dog food specifically for the tiniest members of the family! Since Francis really dislikes when I put her hair up and add clips, I found a great way to accessorize without the discomfort. Target has an amazing selection of collars, accessories, and leashes for dogs of all sizes. I particularly love dolling up Francis since she's the only female dog in the family, but pink is just not her color. Since Francis lives in a Mexican household she's much more feisty than your average Yorkie. Over the years we've purchased dog accessories in purple because it stands out against her tan fur without being too in your face like pink. If you also have a dog that hates when you put its hair up, then try picking up a flower collar accessory. All you have to do is slide the accessory through the collar, and that's it! I also got her an amazing purple glittery collar which pairs perfectly with the flower and her new purple leash.

Now this blog post may be all about Francis, but Bowie didn't want to miss out on the trip to the park so he came along too. She also happens to be my dad's favorite exercising buddy and has even memorized his walking path. I've never really talked much about how we've raised our dogs on my blog before. Although my family and I live in San Diego, in our household we speak nothing but Spanish to one another. Yes, even the dogs know Spanish! They know all the commands in Spanish from "sientate" (sit), "ven" (come here), "abajo" (lie down),  and "la patita" (paw). My mom is also known for just chatting away with the dogs in full Spanish, and they sit next to her while she's watching her telenovelas in the evening. And to top it off, they visit Tijuana at least once a month! I grew up a border kid, and now my dogs are full-on border dogs who call both San Diego and Tijuana their playground.
