Francis' Finds | Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food

Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food
Last month you met both Bowie and Buster, now it's time to meet the lady of the house. Francis is a 4/5 year-old Yorkie that was found on the streets in my neighborhood. She was malnourished, very dirty, and had knots everywhere. To be completely honest, we were all very surprised that she managed to survive in an area where coyotes often eat small pets but she was able to keep herself alive. No one claimed her or made the attempt to find her either which was incredibly weird. Francis is known in my house as the #1 diva and daddy's little girl. She absolutely loves both my dad and brother, but me on the other hand not so much. And out of all the dogs, she's the pickiest eater. We struggle getting her to eat her dog food because all she wants to eat are treats. When I first heard about the Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food I knew that I had to make Francis try it because otherwise it's tough to get her to eat properly.

Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food
Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food is meant to be added to kibble or canned food as a supplementary source of protein and nutrients. You may also serve the freeze-dried food alone or as a treat like many of the reviewers on Chewy.com's site have pointed out. The Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food contains beef, beef liver, beef heart, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, d-Calcium, among other nutrients. The freeze-dried food is also gluten and grain-free; as well as free of corn, wheat, and soy. This food topper is supposed to be made with ingredients that will aid in your dog's digestive health and provide them with the nutrients that their body needs.

As picky as Francis is with her food, she immediately liked the smell of the Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food. When I add a few of the nuggets on top of her kibble (I'm going to call them that since they do have a nugget appearance) she eats a lot more food than usual. Francis also really likes the little nuggets as snacks, and to be honest I'd rather give her these than the usual dog treats that don't always have the best ingredients. Another thing that surprised me was the fact that all three dogs loved the same thing, that almost never happens.

Buster has no problem eating whatsoever. Ever since he was a puppy, he's been able to enjoy both kibble and wet dog food. After Francis approved of the Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food, I decided to test it out on Buster to see if this would also get his stamp of approval. Little did I know that Buster would go absolutely crazy for the freeze-dried nuggets. When I add them on his kibble he eats the freeze-dried nuggets first, and then he goes for the kibble.

Even Bowie really loved the Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food! And I happen to enjoy that these come small bite sized pieces for puppies and smaller dog breeds.

If you have a dog that's a picky eater then I would suggest looking into the Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Freeze-Dried Dog Food. The 6oz bag costs $12.52, while the 14oz bag costs $26.49. This is a pricey item whether you have one or three dogs, considering that the suggested serving is above a 1-2 cups (1 cup = 8 oz). What I would do is use these sparingly as a topper or as a healthier snack. That way you won't go through a bag ridiculously quick. I'm personally very happy to see all my dogs enjoy it, but even happier to see that Francis is eating a lot better.
