Nails of the Day | Dark Chocolate

butter LONDON x Allure Nail Lacquer in Lust or Must?
Brown seems to be one of the "it" colors at the moment in both the fashion and beauty worlds. We are currently seeing a resurgence of brown hued lip colors, nail polishes, and eyeshadows all inspired by the 90's. And by now I think all of you know how much I love the browny nudes and browny rose lip colors, since it seems that those are the only shades I've been purchasing the past 3 months. Apart from embracing brown hues on my eyes and lips, I really haven't tried the trend elsewhere until now. The Allure and butter LONDON fall collaboration includes six unique trendsetting shades, and today I decided to sport some very dark brown nails.

Lust or Must? is described as a charcoal brown with a cream finish, but to me it looks more like a dark chocolate shade since I don't really see much gray in this color. This color is the equivalent to a 70%-80% cacao chocolate bar, it's that intense! In some lights this shade will look completely black which makes it extremely wearable.

While I do love the color and butter LONDON nail polishes in general, this particular shade was a bit hard to work with. I found this shade a bit streaky and sheer, which I found weird because most butter LONDON nail polishes go opaque in just one coat. I had to apply two semi-thick coats to achieve an opaque and smooth color, but I think it was worth the hassle because the color is very unique. As always butter LONDON nail polishes are very glossy and are formulated hydrolyzed silk and vitamins B, C, and E.

If you're not sure how brown nail polish will look on you, definitely try out a deeper shade such as this one.
