NON.U Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen Review
Once upon a time I said that "I couldn't be bothered" with lip liners, which is a little hard to believe now but when I filmed the Lip Product Addict Tag I was not a big fan of lip liners. Well it took about a year for me to get hooked on lip liners and nowadays I own way too many of them. Here's why I changed my mind: Lip liners make ridiculously easy to achieve nice and defined lips, and they also help with the longevity of a lip product. I've tested out various affordable lip liners from the drugstore, and most recently I gave the NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen from Born Pretty a shot. These $2.29 lip liners claim to be waterproof and long wearing, but do they live up to those claims?

As I previously mentioned, the NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen* from Born Pretty is described as waterproof and long wearing lip liners. They have a special glossy formula that will make the lips look "crystal glorious." There are are also claims that the liners will nourish your lips so they can appear more moisturized and healthy. I will start off by saying that these aren't your standard waxy lip liners, these actually feel more like lipsticks than liners.

The NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen has an extremely creamy consistency that effortlessly glides on your lips. The application process is incredibly smooth, so there is absolutely no tugging on the lips whatsoever. These liners are by far the most enjoyable liners to apply, but they're not waterproof as they claim. I find that these liners feel more like a lipsticks than your traditional waxy lip liners, which tend to stick better to the lips. I also found that the longevity of these was not the best, I got about 3 hours of wear which is standard for a creamy lipstick.

Despite the fact that I didn't find two of the claims to be true, I actually really love the NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen. The color range available on Born Pretty is very small with only three shades available, but the three colors are wearable and very on trend. I also adore the way these feel on my lips. The lip liners have a very moisturizing and opaque formula, and they also have a nice multidimensional sheen that gives your lips a fuller appearance. I also really enjoy the packaging, which conveniently includes a built-in sharpener on the color indicator. Despite the liner's packaging being made entirely out of plastic, it feels rather substantial considering the low price point.
NON.U Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen 04
NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen in 04, $2.29
Unfortunately there aren't any actual names nor color description for these lip liners, so I'll be trying my best to describe the shades myself. 04 is a dusty rose shade with a brown undertone. We've been seeing the resurgence of 90's lip colors all this year, and this shade really fits the bill. 04 is pretty much a dupe for Maybelline's Color Sensational Creamy Mattes in 657 Nude Nuance (swatched here), so if you were looking for a lip liner to pair with the lipstick then this one would be a great color option.
NON.U Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen 05
NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen in 05, $2.29
05 is a subdued berry shade which looks incredibly beautiful when applied to the lips. When I first saw the color it reminded me a lot of the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl (swatched here), but upon further inspection 05 appears to have more of a vibrant berry tone than Bond Girl. Then I went back to my lipstick collection and pulled out MAC's Plumful lipstick (swatched here) which I know has more of a berry tone than Bond GirlPlumful does look more berry, but due to its lustre finish it's much more sheer than 05. Because of the rich berry shade, I think 05 would pair very nicely with both Plumful and Bond Girl.
NON.U Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen 06
NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen in 06, $2.29
06 is a little bit deceiving because the color indicator looks more like a straight up pink, but when applied to the lips the color appears to be a red with a fuchsia undertone. Believe it or not, I couldn't find a lipstick in my collection that was similar to 06 since all of my reds have either a blue or orange undertone. While I don't have this lipstick, I have a feeling that 06 would pair very well with the L'Oréal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Lipcolour in Blake's Red which does have a bit of a fuchsia undertone.

So overall I really enjoy the NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen and I would definitely recommend them if you want a more precise lipstick application. The colors are beautiful, they feel very nice on the lips, and the overall presentation is very nice considering the low price point.

The NON.U. Elegant Makings She Turns Me On Lipliner Pen retails for $2.29 on Born Pretty. You can save 10% off by using the code LNH10 when you're checking out, and like always Born Pretty offers free worldwide shipping which is very nice.

Which of these three colors do you like the most? Let me know in the comments below.
