Guess who's back and feeling good? This girl right here! OH YEAH! I'm so excited to bring you a new makeup look today inspired by style icon Alexa Chung. I've teamed up with one of my favorite drugstore brands and #CollectiveBias to bring you this really easy look featuring none other than the newest Rimmel products that you can easily purchase at your local Walmart. The two stars in this look are the new Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara and the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation which I've been seeing everywhere these past few months. I also want to let you know that Rimmel is celebrating their 180 year anniversary with a huge sweepstake! Now that I have your full attention let's get started with today's blog post and video.

All the new items used in this tutorial were purchased at Walmart. Let me tell you, not only does Walmart have low prices but their selection of Rimmel products is one of the best! I've found products here that I haven't seen elsewhere plus the items appeared to be sealed better. If you want to save even more money don't forget that Rimmel also has $1 off coupon inserts in your Sunday newspaper. Now that you know where to get your items let's get started with a quick picture tutorial! Consider this the opening act before you watch the video.
The look begins with one of the newest drugstore foundations in the market, the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. This foundation has amazing coverage which is why I used it as both my foundation and also as concealer. I found that the foundation blended out very easily with a brush or my fingers.

Here is the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in action as a concealer! I normally use a separate product but I really enjoyed using it as a multifunctional product. It really helped brighten the under eye area just as good as any concealer. When using foundation as concealer make sure to tap the product with your finger, that way you get the most coverage. For blush Alexa is wearing a very muted peachy blush so I went with the Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in Apricot Glow which you've already seen in other blog posts and videos.
For the eyes I first used the new Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Paint in Peachy Apricot*. This is not my first shade of the shadow paints I've owned, if you remember I featured Rich Russet not too long ago. I have to admit that I wasn't too pleased with the eyeshadow paint at first but now I really enjoy them after learning how to work with them. These dry pretty quickly so work on one eye first before moving on to the other. On the crease Alexa has a light wash of color so I used the middle and top right shades in the Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD palette in Brick Lane*.

To add a little definition I used the darkest shade in the palette and used it as eyeliner. On the lower lashline I used the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Taupe before I smudged the same two eyeshadows that I used on the crease. On the waterline I applied the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude because Alexa had a nude eyeliner as well.

You all know by now that I love drugstore mascaras that have a big brush and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara* has a huge hourglass shaped brushed. At first I was a bit intimidated but then I found it was easy to maneuver around, even in the inner corner of the eye. I found that the mascara defined my lashes well and didn't clump at all. Finally for the lips I used a cool toned pink with a little shine which is why I used the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm in Make Me Blush*.

And that's it for the picture tutorial! I think it turned out very close to what Alexa Chung has in this picture. If you want to see a more in depth look just watch the short video tutorial.
