The Caolion #PerfectPores Kit

Pores, we all have them and for some reason we always want to magically get "rid" of them. We use silicone based primers to diminish the appearance of pores, abrasive exfoliators to "shrink" pores, and harsh strips in hopes to get "eliminate" of those pesky blackheads. I know there's a million and one articles and videos out there where people claim they've found the solution to get rid of big pores, but in reality the concept of opening and closing pores by using products is a myth. A huge myth that has made the cosmetic industry thousands, if not millions of dollars. The size of your pores is determined by your genes, so if you have large pores then you have your family to thank for that. While you can't do much about the physical size of your pores, you can in fact decongest them to give the appearance that they're a bit smaller. In this post I'm going to be talking about the Caolion #PerfectPores Kit which I've been mentioning a lot on Twitter and Snapchat. It's honestly some magical skincare!

The kit begins with the Caolion Freshly Chitosan Foam Cleanser which is a non-drying cleanser that will help control sebum production. This cleaner has been working very well with my oily skin and I have noticed a slight reduction in oil production. I personally love using this cleanser in the daytime before I apply any makeup because I find that my makeup lasts longer when I'm not getting excessively oily. The cleanser is rich in antioxidants to fight free radicals and also contains unshiu (Jeju mandarin oil) to balance your skin's pH level. I do have to mention that all of the Caolion skincare products are formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates so they're perfect for sensitive skin.

The Caolion Original Pore Pack is a treatment that will help cool, tighten, and soothe your skin. It is enriched with Alaskan glacial water which helps to hydrate your skin and it also has a slight menthol feel which cools your skin. This a very gentle mask that won't dry out your skin whatsoever. In my opinion this is the pore pack that won't necessarily give you visible results, but you will be able to feel them. The cooling sensation is very refreshing on the skin, and I also found that my skin felt very supple and hydrated to the touch.

The second pore pack was the one that left me with my mouth wide open. This is the Caolion Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack, which as the name suggests does indeed bubble up. This is the weirdest mask product that I've ever tried because of the bubbling that happens. You can literally feel the bubbles popping on your skin as you massage the product on your skin. The Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack contains charcoal powder to remove impurities and natural oat grains that will moisturize and buff away dead skin cells. And unlike the blackhead pore strips, this is an effective and very gentle method to diminish the appearance of blackheads. I've used the Blackhead O2 Bubble Pore Pack a total of 8 times so far (about 2-3 times a week) and you can see a huge difference in the before and after pictures. It's safe to say that I'm never going to be putting another pore strip on my nose again.

The last step in this kit is the Caolion Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask which is my personal favorite. This is a mask that you apply at night and leave it on overnight, so this will take the place of your moisturizer and serums. The Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask contains a blend of oils and extracts which include macadamia integrifolia seed oil, grape seed oil, willow bark extract, and soybean ferment extract. The reason why I particularly love this mask is because I saw a big improvement in my pores and the appearance of my skin. Since I started using this three times a week I've seen my pores look significantly less congested and my skin look like it's glowing. I've decided to include two close up shots of my pores so you can see for yourself how decongested my pores look up close. It's honestly like having youth in a pot! The Pore Tightening Memory Sleeping Mask will give you visibly beautiful skin, which means that you won't feel the need to cover it up with a lot of makeup.

I've been so extremely happy with all the products in the Caolion #PerfectPores Kit and I would highly recommend the kit to anyone looking for a gentle way to take care of your skin, pores, and blackheads. The #PerfectPores Kit retails for $84 on Peach & Lily but it actually contains $106 worth of Caolion products, which is a really fantastic deal. Each of the pore packs will last you months since you won't be using them daily and the cleanser is 110 ml/3.7 fl oz which is a great size for a cleanser.
