MAC Star Trek Collection

MAC Star Trek Collection
You have no idea how excited I got when MAC first announced their Star Trek limited edition collection to commemorate Star Trek's 50th Anniversary. Being the geek that I am, this collection was like a dream come true. The collection was inspired by four strong women in the Star Trek universe: Uhura, Deanna Troi, Seven of Nine, and Orions. I was lucky enough to have been able to attend the MAC x Star Trek experience outside of Comic Con and get to see the collection in person before the official launch (more about the experience in a few days), and when I came back home I received a very generous package from MAC. In this post you'll be seeing a comprehensive preview of the Star Trek collection. I made sure to share important information about the collection, product reviews, and swatches. I basically have all my fellow geeks completely covered in this post!

WARNING: I will be geeking out over the Star Trek collection, but can you blame me? This video is a lengthy one, but there's a lot of valuable information about the products. I will be letting you know every detail, from the prices to the amount of product that you get.

MAC Star Trek Collection
The first look that I created was a more minimal take on Star Trek. I kept the eyes quite simple with sheer washes of the Pressed Pigments in To Boldly Go and Midnight. I also used the Superslick Liquid Eye Liner in Nocturnal to line my eyes. On the lips I lined my lips with the ColourPop Lippie Pencil in Wet and then I used the Warp Speed Ahead Lipglass. The Trip the Light Fantastic Powder in Luna Luster was used as a highlight and Strange New Worlds was used as a blush.
MAC Star Trek Collection
This is the look I created inspired by Commander Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I used To Boldly Go all over the lids and used some of my personal MAC eyeshadows to intensify the look. I decided to rock the very dramatic Wink of an Eye Lashes once again for this look. I also used Luna Luster was as a highlight and Strange New Worlds as a blush for this look. On the lips I applied LLAP all over and topped it off with Khaaannnn! only on the center of the lips.

I am not able to link any of the products at the moment since they will launch online on August 25th. I will be updated the blog post with links to all the products in this post once that happens.

Are you excited about the MAC and Star Trek collection? What products are you looking forward to? Let me know in the comments below.

Disclaimer: MAC sent me a PR package with a few of the products from the Star Trek collection. Luna Luster was purchased with my own money at SDCC.
