Best Blushes for Oily Skin

When you have oily skin blushes either tend to fade rather quickly or make you look greasier. Blushes with too much shimmer will enhance the shininess on your cheeks which is why I don't wear shimmery blushes too often. Other times I will apply a blush and have it completely disappear a few hours later. Finding a long-lasting blush can be hard but I have found four options that definitely have my stamp of approval.

Milani Baked Blush in Bella Rosa, $6.97
This is one of two new matte shades in the baked blush collection. Milani Baked Blushes are baked on Italian terracotta tiles and have a very smooth application. While most of the blushes in their range are very shimmery, this one has a velvety matte finish. The color is a very bright fuchsia which is highly pigmented. This is definitely one of those blushes that you need just a little bit of product on your brush. I usually use a stippling brush to lightly apply this blush and it adds a very nice flush of color on my cheeks that lasts hours.

Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Excite, $26
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Excite was my very first high-end blush I ever purchased. The color is a bright apricot shade with a smooth matte finish. It's another blush that you need to have a light hand with because it is highly pigmented. I find that Illamasqua matte blushes apply very smoothly and look very natural on your face. I also have Chased which is a matte light pink and it also performs amazing on my skin. If you're looking for unique colored matte blushes then I highly suggest you check out Illamasqua.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Achiote, $26
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes are very popular among bloggers because they are really long-lasting and come in 16 shades. There are both shimmer and matte finishes but the two shades I own are matte. Achiote is a matte warm pink color that looks extremely natural on your cheeks. I find that this blush is extremely blendable despite being a matte powder. The amazonian clay also helps minimize oil around your pores and keep the product in place.

The Balm Instain Long Wearing Staining Powder Blush in Houndstooth, $22
The Instain blushes are powder blushes that will provide a stained effect on your cheeks. There are six shades that range from muted pinks to bright fruity colors. Houndstooth is a semi-matte muted mauve shade but I also own Toile which a bright matte strawberry shade. The blushes don't stain per say, but the formula just becomes one with your skin so it's able to stay put all day. The blushes are highly pigmented so once again you need a very light hand with these.

I know a lot of my picks were high-end blushes but I've found that they just last much longer than a lot of my drugstore blushes. All the high-end blushes are highly pigmented so you'll end up using much less product.
