Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks
By now you all know what a huge lipstick addict I am. I easily have over 100 tubes of lipstick in my collection, and there's definitely no sign of stopping any time soon. Lipstick is the one makeup item that makes me feel like I can take over the world, and the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks certainly make me feel that way. These lipsticks have been available in the UK for some months now, and most recently were released for a limited time back in April in the United States. But don't you worry because the lipsticks will become permanent in North America come September and they will also become available at Nordstrom. I think it's time to start saving your pennies, because once you buy a Matte Revolution Lipstick you'll definitely want a few more.

The Matte Revolution Lipsticks are easily some of the best lipsticks that I've ever tried! The formula is very different from other matte lipsticks. The lipsticks are never drying nor flat looking on the lips. They apply very smoothly and last very well on the lips, there's never signs of any patchiness when I wear the lipsticks. Another thing that sets these lipsticks apart is the fact that it makes lips look like their glowing from within and also look a bit fuller. The modern matte formula of the Matte Revolution Lipsticks is infused with botanical extracts which provide hydration and protection to the lips.

The packaging of the Matte Revolution Lipsticks looks identical to the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipsticks. The exterior is a highly reflective gold with ridges, which looks very elegant in my opinion. I also like that there is some weight to these lipsticks because while I like drugstore lipsticks, I do have to admit that the packaging tends to be on the flimsy side. All the Matte Revolution Lipsticks bullets have a very unique shape to them which makes application incredibly easy. While I would recommend using a lip liner (especially with the darker shades), the squared tip makes it easier to line the lips before using the flat side to fill them in.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace ($32/£23) is described as a vintage rose shade which was inspired by Grace Kelly. This color is far from a hot Barbie pink, I find this pink to be not only wearable but also sophisticated. It became one of my favorite lipsticks to wear in the spring and I will continue to wear it over the year. If you're into subtle rose colors, then you're definitely going to enjoy having Amazing Grace in your collection.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl
I have this lipstick to thank for my Matte Revolution Lipstick addiction. Bond Girl ($32/£23) is described as a chic natural berry, but I would just refer to it as the chic version of a 90's lip color. The color is a rose with subtle brown undertones, which makes it incredibly wearable for a variety of skintones. If you're had to buy just one Matte Revolution Lipstick, it better be Bond Girl! Might as well go for an everyday color that looks great with a smokey eye or a natural look.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Love Liberty
I picked up Love Liberty in a set of two lipsticks ($60/£42) along with Amazing Grace. Love Liberty ($32/£23) is a wild rose inspired by Liberty Ross, to me it looks like a rich berry shade. I love me some berry lipsticks and this one will certainly be used a ton this coming fall and winter. If you're afraid of trying out a very dark lip in the colder months, just go with a berry such as this one.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Swatches
The lipsticks are available individually for $32/£23, so by no mean are they affordable. Before buying these lipsticks I had never spent more than $24 on a lipstick, but now I know why it doesn't hurt to spoil yourself once in a while. The formula is unlike any other lipstick that I've tried, even other high-end lipsticks just don't compare to the Matte Revolution Lipsticks. If you're planning on picking up a few shades, then I would highly suggest you go for the sets of two which retail for $60/£42 (you will end up saving $4/£4).

Like I mentioned before, the Matte Revolution Lipsticks are currently available in the UK but come September they will be available once again on Charlotte Tilbury's American website and at Nordstrom.com. I cannot recommend these lipsticks enough, so if I were you I would start saving up for September!

Which shade was your favorite out of the three? Let me know in the comments below.
