Sephora Hand and Lip Masks

Sheet masks have been taking the beauty world by storm as of late, and it's not just Korean brands who are making great sheet masks. Sephora started making their own sheet masks sometime last year or in late 2014, and they've now expanded their collection to include hand and lip masks. I'm not going to lie to you, the reason why I even picked these up was because they sounded kind of weird. The second reason I picked these up was because both my hands and lips have been on the dryer side as of late, which is a big no-no for me. So I put these to the test for you guys, and I even recorded some very awkward Snapchats in the process.

Sephora Collection Avocado Hand Mask, $6
This was my absolute favorite out of the two masks because it really worked! The Avocado Hand Mask is meant to nourish and repair your hands, so it's perfect if you're experiencing very dry skin. The mask basically looks like a pair of gloves and they have a cloth lining inside which contains the serum. The exterior of the gloves remain completely dry so you can use your phone, type on your laptop, or even continue to take blog photos without worrying about the serum leaking. After 15-20 minutes you take off the mask and pat the serum on your hands. My hands felt significantly smoother and very supple. I also noticed that my cuticles were looking very hydrated after using the mask, so I would highly recommend using a mask like this before an important event. This is a mask that I will definitely be repurchasing in the future!

Sephora Collection Rose Lip Mask, $3
Now for the mask that I wasn't crazy about, the Rose Lip Mask. First of all, this mask was incredibly awkward to put on. The gel mask is sandwiched between two netting pads which you're meant to peel off. I honestly felt like it was a complete waste to throw the two pads away, so I gave one of the netting pads soaked in serum to my mom so she could try the mask out as well. The gel mask clung on to my lips and something in the serum made my lips tingle which felt rather uncomfortable. After 15-20 minutes my lips felt a little rough, like if I had granules on them and they didn't feel that soft. The Rose Lip Mask is meant to moisturize and soften lips, but personally I'll just stick to using my Nuxe Rêve de Miel Lip Balm which does a way better job. If you do end up purchasing one of the lip masks, make sure to have a little pot on hand because this mask has a lot of leftover serum that you can easily use again.

I'm definitely going to be repurchasing the Sephora Collection Avocado Hand Mask again very soon, as for the Rose Lip Mask... I think I'm going to pass on that one. I will most likely give the Shea Lip Mask a shot though, maybe that one will actually make my lips feel soft.
