Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Review
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how stunning this bottle is? The Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure has such a sleek and minimal water drop shaped bottle that I'm absolutely crazy about. It's easily one of the most beautiful bottles of perfume that I have in my collection, there's no doubt about it. And as you can probably guess, this perfume is yet another spin to the iconic L'Eau d'Issey fragrance. Unlike the other versions that I've tried in the past, the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure is much less floral heavy and instead reminds me of the sea. It's definitely a much cleaner and earthy take on the classic L'Eau d'Issey fragrance.

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Review
The Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure* is described as a fragrance the captures scent of a bouquet of flowers and drops of water. Everything about this fragrance (from the bottle to the actual notes), were inspired by water. And as Derek Zoolander once said: "Moisture is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty." I never thought I would be quoting Derek Zoolander in a perfume review, but somehow I am.

The top notes of the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure are seawater, which is very evident upon first application. It smells very clean and fresh, almost what you wished the beaches in California would actually smell like. Unlike the other Issey Miyake fragrances, the L'Eau d'Issey Pure doesn't contain citrus notes or very strong florals. The floral middle notes are very subtle, so it would be perfect for someone who's not a huge fan of heavy floral scents. The floral notes are Lily of the Valley, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, and Damask Rose. Once the perfume has settled into the skin, it will leave a very earthy and cozy scent. I personally love the way the Cashmere Wood and the Gray Amber settle into my skin.
Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Review
In my opinion the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure is a perfume that's clean and modern. I like that it smells more natural and isn't too overpowering. This is definitely a feminine scent for the minimalist woman. I also think this would be a beautiful daytime fragrance, especially during the summer.

Now here's my only gripe with the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure... the wear. Despite being an Eau de Parfum, I find that this perfume doesn't last very well on my skin. I get around 4 hours of wear with this perfume, which is definitely more on the level of an Eau de Toilette. Perhaps this isn't the most long wearing fragrance because it is so subtle, but some of you might be able to get a few more hours of wear. I'll have to see if this lasts a lot better once the weather cools down in San Diego.
Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Review
Personally I absolutely love the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure and it's now be my second favorite L'Eau d'Issey spinoff after the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Florale. I highly recommend you go to Sephora and get a sample of this perfume because I have a feeling that a lot of you would love it.
