Review | Bubu Professional Eyebrow Mascara

My eyebrow product collection is rapidly growing thanks to the need to have a strong brow game. As much as I enjoy doing my brows, sometimes I'm too lazy to fill them in precisely. When I don't have the time or feel too lazy to go in with a brow pencil I've been using this very affordable eyebrow mascara from Born Pretty. This looks pretty much like a mascara except for the fact the wand and bristles are small enough to fit pretty much any eyebrow shape. 

You might recognize Born Pretty from a review/tutorial I did using brushes from their site few months ago. I really enjoyed working with them so when I was asked to review another product I said "oh yeah!" Born Pretty is an online store with everything from nail art supplies to jewelry. Everything in the store is well organized which is highly appreciated since there's a lot of stuff on the website. I also appreciate the fact that they offer free shipping worldwide and that their products are very affordable.

Like the name suggests, the Bubu Professional Eyebrow Mascara is a mascara for your brows. Brow gels are very common in the cosmetics world but this is certainly not a gel formula. The formula in this product is pretty much the same as a normal mascara. It coats your brow hairs and fills in sparse areas very quickly. That is why I have been using it so often lately, especially when I'm going to work and don't have the time for a complicated makeup look. I get to fill in my eyebrows and set them in place with just one product and one step, it's like killing two birds with one stone.

As much as I've enjoyed this product there are a few things I dislike about it. First of all it has a strong synthetic scent, but I can live with it since I'm not putting this product anywhere near my nose. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that this flakes much like a regular mascara when rubbed. I rarely ever touch my eyebrows but occasionally they get a little itchy so I can to gently scratch. When I scratched my brow I found a bunch of flakes on my cheeks. If you're one that fusses with your eyebrows then this might not be such a great product for you. The formula is also not waterproof whatsoever and it dissolves with the contact of water. This would make the product not ideal for any summer related activities involving water and/or sweating. The shade range is also very limited with this product. There are only three shades available and the lighter colors have a very strong red undertone. I picked the shade #3 which is the darkest one, this color would be ideal for those of us with dark brown/black hair.

Despite it's imperfections I still think this is a great option for those of us looking for a simple and quick way to do our brows. It does the job of filling them in, making them more defined, and also keeping them in place. I've been using it a lot lately for both work days and also filming days. If you have seen any of my last 3 videos then you saw the eyebrow mascara on my brows. I think it makes your brows look great and if you don't mess with your brows then this product will last very well throughout the day.
