I don't think I've ever received as many questions about a pair of glasses as I have with these gold ones. To me glasses are not only a life necessity, but also a fashion accessory that I use to compliment my outfits and makeup. I love having a glasses collection that just keeps growing and growing but something that was missing entirely from my collection was a pair of metallic frames, that's where the Kam Dhillon Ariana frames come into play. These frames are from Coastal, an online glasses and contacts retailer with a huge variety of frames at a very reasonable price. This was actually my very first time ordering a pair from Coastal so I'm going to walk you through the ordering experience, as well as my opinions about these gold beauties.

Let's start off talking about these frames amazing frames because 1) they're freaking gold and 2) they suit my face perfectly. These are the Ariana frames from the Kam Dhillon collection which were inspired by vintage eyeglasses and retail for $85 with prescription. It was so tough for me to choose a pair of frames from the Kam Dhillon collection because I fell in love with so many of the contemporary designs, so I went to Snapchat to get some help from my followers. Thankfully my followers have amazing taste in glasses because these have quickly become one of my favorite pairs in my collection.

Here's what I love about the Kam Dhillon Ariana: They're designed beautifully, lightweight, and very comfortable to wear. One of my concerns about these frames was that they would potentially be a bit flimsy since the frames are not thick like the other ones I have in my collection, but I'm happy to report that's not the case. Now they're not as sturdy as a pair of thick plastic frames, but they're certainly not flimsy and they don't feel fragile. I've actually been able to wear the Ariana for 10+ hours straight with absolutely no discomfort and I also haven't experienced my glasses sliding down my nose. That alone makes me so happy because I do get headaches at times from wearing glasses for a long duration of time.

Another concern was that the metallic frames would get scratched up easily, but once again that really hasn't been the case. What I will say is that they are more prone to showing smudges and fingerprints though, so you'll have to clean them more often in order to maintain that metallic finish. Another thing I have to mention is that the standard lenses that are free are not anti-reflective, so they will reflect the light in pictures and video. That being said, they're still comfortable lenses and they're also UV protective. If you want anti-reflective lenses then they will be an additional $25, that will raise the total to $105 which is still not that bad.

Unlike other online glasses retailers, Coastal doesn't have a home try-on program which did worry me a little at first. Now this wasn't the first time ordering glasses without trying them on, but it was the first time ordering a pair of "more expensive" glasses (the last ones were less than $30). Instead of a home try-on, Coastal has a feature called MyFit which will automatically show you the pairs that will suit you the best. The way MyFit works is by inputting the measurements located inside the arm of your frames. Yes, those are not random numbers they're actually measurements in mm. The first set of number indicates the lens width, the second set indicates the bridge width, and the last set of numbers is the arm length. I was a bit skeptical about the MyFit feature but I have to say that it works! And it works really damn well if I may say so. If for some reason you don't like the way your new glasses look or fit, then you can return the glasses to Coastal for a complete refund free of charge. Not a bad deal, right?

Apart from the convenient and easy to use MyFit feature, the whole Coastal is very user friendly and easy to navigate. You can browse all the collections available on Coastal and designer frames in a breeze and everything is laid out in a way that's easy to view. Ordering the glasses is also extremely simple and quick. All you basically need to do is add your prescription, choose your lens, add them to your cart, and check out. Shipping took about a week and a half, which is reasonable for prescription glasses in my opinion. And the glasses came in a hard case with a cleaning cloth and travel-friendly screwdriver (a must-have in my handbag).

Overall I was extremely content with my first Coastal experience and I would definitely recommend checking them out. I was also so happy to hear that many of my followers were already fans of Coastal too, it just makes me love the company even more. I thought the service was amazing and the variety of frames really blew me away. If you're looking for modern and unique frames for women, then I would highly recommend checking out the Kam Dhillon collection.
